  • In this video, I am with my natural farming friend, David (@conscious_natural_inputs) and we are having some fun making IMO3, a step in Korean Natural Farming where we introduce our IMO2 collection to Rice Bran, Oats, and Woodchips. We are making a beautiful compost that will be full of microbial activity that we can add onto our vegetable beds.
We used about 50 lbs of Rice Bran, 50 lbs of Oats, and equal parts of woodchips. What you see us pouring into the mix is:
    5 gal water
    Fermented Plant Juice
    Brown Rice Vinegar
    Oriental Herbal Nutrients
    Sea Water
    Humic Acid
and some of our IMO2 collection
David noticed that the pile was lacking a little bit of moisture so on the second day he added a little bit more water and he noticed a rise in temperature as the pile was nice and active
We want to keep the pile under 130 degrees and making sure we turn it so it stays at a consistent active temperature from 100-120

Love the video! I just wish u took some time to explain the process a little more and explain what all you were adding to the pile. Can't wait to see what's to come.

Thanks for the support! I am actually working on an in-depth imo3 video right now, just waiting for the pile to finish and I'll have it uploaded with an explanation!

How much dry oats and rice husks did you use

I believe this was 50 lbs of each dry material. It was a big heavy imo3 pile. I am sorry for the late reply, I am learning how to navigate through the youtube system and to respond to the comments :)

I can’t seem to find a usable collection... maybe it’s too cold! I’m in Canada Jan/feb

You can try, but I heard a collection in the winter generally takes longer. I have friends who have a successful winter imo collection so it is not impossible 😁 try it out!
