The air was thick with the constant scrape of dirt being dragged and scattered beneath my boots as I stepped onto the rocky hill. A chilling wind swept through, teasing strands of my hair and tugging at the edges of my crimson cape. My gaze fixed on the distant horizon. There, swirling, impenetrable clouds clung to the highest sections of the citadel, drifting lazily with the breeze. They veiled the city below, leaving only the towering castles to rise through the thick, oppressive fog that enveloped the lower reaches. From that fog, the faint outline of the citadel’s entrance took shape-a bridge, suspended over a sheer drop into dark waters far below. A few more steps, and the final leg of my journey would begin. The end was in sight.
Everyone wants to know their fate until they know it. Ignorance is bliss and silence is golden. A life unpredictable makes a life worth living. In death all that was once unknown will be known to you once more, secrets of the cosmos that you knew even before your birth returns, and thus you may begin again, a new journey, a new path, a new destiny...walk again immortal soul.

Very moving picture. I hope this finds you well. I have had in my life a dream of the end of days when the sun fades and the world cracks under itself in the darkness and while it is sad i do find my wife and kids and am happy. Maybe had this dream 3 times in my life and i wish I was an author or even a writer of any skill as it moves me so much a story I will never tell but is inside me
