the way rocksteady puts his lines about not being like last time and you ''left me on that bridge" sounds like rocksteady aproves of origins and that origins is cannon to the arkham games
This really upsets me. Firefly in Origins was one of the longest, most complex and uncomfortable boss fight I've yet to have undertaken in a game. The side scrolling elements, the fact that you had to fight your way across the bridge, avoid fighting Firefly, the use of various gadgets, all made for an epic boss fight that I was looking forward to a rematch when I realized he was going to be in the game. And then you just fucking follow him around three times until he gets tired and beat him with your fists. Great fucking work. Whatever else Origins faults were, at least it tried to make you put in some actual effort.
To be fair, deathstroke and firefly where main bosses in origins, in knight they are side mission bosses, and side mission bosses have always had less work put into them than the main boss fights, even city had mostly lame boss fights in side missions, dethshot, bane (techincally not a boss because he fights with you, not against you, but still all he does is getting in the way and hitting batman), victor zsasz, riddler (his last mission is way too simple to be the last, you just walk outside the sight of the hostages and attack nigma once). If we are gonna be fair then we should talk about origins' side missions bosses, shiva was just a ninja with a diferent skin and a long health bar, anarky was just a normal goon with a larger health bar, bird was just another goon but with a visible health bar (really disapointing for bane's right hand man, they could at least give him venom), black mask was just a normal goon with a diferent skin (they didn't even bother to give him a health bar). I think the only side mission bosses that where actually good were: mad hatter in city (altough this one is arguable because he just appears from time on time and you just have to hit him once before he shoots his ray), death shot in origins (his fight had a good amount of thought put into it and it actually makes you think about how can you aproach him), mad hatter in origins (this one is also arguable because you beat him just by hitting him with a reverse batarang once, but all the scarecrow like trip to get to him is pretty cool), and riddler in knight (didn't get to play arkham knight but i've seen the fight and it looks pretty good with the blue and red robots mechanic), also maybe mister pig (it's simple but it's also fun and different)
Happy to see Firefly return for the finale but I suppose the big problem with this side mission is that it is short and seemingly there is no way to fail. I wouldn't have minded if Firefly provided more obstacles where he can probably catch you out and cause you to fail
WB Montreal's Arkham Origins portrayed Firefly better, just like Bane, just like Killer Croc (though he was awesome in Asylum, we didn't even fight him) and just like Deathstroke (compared to his laughable appearance in Arkham Knight)
origins really nailed the boss fights. At least batman beat the shit out of firefly once he got him and here he just let him go several times ( so stupid )
I'm fine with the chasing as long as it meant like, for instance, when you fly on top of him, he soars into the air and eventually you both have a battle in mid-air and use Dive Bomb to dodge his flamethrower, as well as use the GWG mechanic, then you can dive down after him as he falls when you knock out his wings and it just looks cool as shit.
if rocksteady did the same boss fight that wb montreal did in origins. everyone would just say that rocksteady turned lazy. if you think about it. this was the only thing they could do with firefly
Crispin did a fantastic voice performance here though after finally finishing the game myself, things like this really make look at Origins in a new light. Even if it was just for the boss battles.
Rocksteady at least tried to give more variety to the bosses(except Deathstroke). If they did what WB Montreal did with bosses people would have been more angry. This boss fits the character and it makes sense that you have to chase him down.
@@Bryan-dr5qy what? If WB Montreal did the same in knight as what they did in origins (about the boss fights), people wouldn't have complained about the lack of the boss fights in it. I respect your opinion but for me his (firefly) boss fight in origins was much better
Controversial opinion time: Arkham Origins Boss Battles were better than most of the Arkham Knight Boss Battles. Compare and contrast Deathstroke and Firefly in this game to Arkham Origins, not to mention Bane in Arkham Asylum vs Origins and Deadshot City vs Origins, and I think it's pretty clear that Origins was better at climactic boss battles.
In my opinion this is how I would have designed this boss fight: (First fight) 2:22 After Batman puts out the fire he gets out of the car and turns on his detective mode to scan the area, once you start scanning 2:37 firefly blasts threw the wall. He fires his flamethrower at you so you have to dodge it and then grapple onto him, then as he’s flying around he will randomly shoot at you making you press B/O for Batman to use his cape to block the fire, he will also throw fire bombs at you so you press Y/🔼 to deflect the bomb. Then at 4:01 you use your grapple boost to “boost” up to him grabbing him and doing the beat down. (Second fight) 5:31-7:40 this would be the exact same, no changes. (Last fight) 8:40 this would be a mixture of the last two, first you start in the Batmobile 8:47 then at 9:49 (look at the fuel) you eject and grapple onto to firefly doing the exact same thing like the first time 10:31 you grapple boost and take him down. Let me know what you think 🧐
And he's the most dangerous of all of Batman's Rogues gallery. Firefly has a flame thrower and a stolen Batwing. He won't stop until Gotham is reduced to ashes and all the people are dead.
Zeo Patroller you have not seen Firefly in action he is an arsonist and he can be deadly eurly in Batman's career Firefly has torched over 200 buildings in Gotham 15 of those were for insurance fraud and 9 of them were for a grudge. Batman stopped Firefly each time. currently ties in 2nd with Croc and everyone knows Joker and Harley tie for the number one spot of the most dangerous supervillains.
I would say the most dangerous is Poison Ivy because of her abilities. After her there coming Ra's Al Ghul, Bane, Deathstroke, Killer Croc and so on. I like Firefly, but he is by far not the most dangerous villain in Gotham.
When I saw Firefly in this game I was like: "Firefly? Looks like Garfield Lynns wants finished where he left off in Arkham Origins and this time there's no $50,000,000 bounty"
Firefly aka Garfield leinns I know him he was hired by black mask or joker he is in the royal hotel with other assassins earlier and flew out the window then firefly is going to pioneers bridge with four bombs there was the hostages by the second bomb on top of the train since Arkham origins
videogamenostalgia Origins did have the best boss fights, followed by City, then Asylum, and I don't even count Knight cause if some fights were considered boss fights by the producers then they have really bad tastes. They just concentrated the majority of the game on the batmobile
Wesley Fuller Let me go through all of the boss fights and tell me how these are the best. Bane: Wait for bane to roar and hit L1 to batarang, remove tubing- rinse and repeat Generic Titans 1-6: Same shit, different toilet, need I say more? Harley Quinn: Should this even count as a boss fight? Whatever. punch baddies, avoid flashy floors. VICTORY! Killer Croc: Nice tense atmosphere, but ruined by the 'ol batarang stun trick used for every big guy. Next! Poison Ivy: Oh this looks promising, mayb- oh wait, more batarang stuns and occasional baddies, avoid thorny floors this time. Haven't seen that before like, ever. Moving on. Titan Joker: Hm, wonder what Joker has up his sleeve. Poison gas? Sharks with laser beams attached to their heads? OH WTF? More titan? Did not see that coming!! What ever shall I do? ;( Scarecrow: The only one I actually really liked that felt different from all other encounters. And even that was more atmosphere than actual gameplay. I'm betting there's a titan here somewhere, ah there it is. And they bothered to change the look of this one. Cool. Hate Origins all you want buddy, but Electricutioner is the only boss fight Asylum managed to beat. As generic or repetitive as the others may be, they were still 10X better than whatever Rocksteady had to offer. And 100X better than what they gave us in Arkham Knight.
Jenette Singleton yeah right. You're obviously not a batman fan nor you understand the mechanics of the game. Bane and Killer Crocs fight were very different, one being a fight and the other required stealth. Also, Joker's boss fight had many differences compared to other titan fights. You're obviously just a girl that plays video games rarely and call yourself a gamer. Not strange how you only like Ivy's fight (the only female Boss fight in the game, cause Harley doesn't count as one)
One of my favorite villains. I wish the fight was more like an Arkham Origins or if he was somehow working with Scarecrow and Arkham Knight like Deathstroke
There are times where I really do question Batman’s system on dealing with side missions. Like why would he allow firefly to get away after only beating him down once. For the games circumstance sure it makes since to take a quick break from the main story but in a reality isn’t that kinda...dumb
Dr.Fail hmm probably a half uncle, hmm doesn't it strike you as weird that gothams architecture and style mimics the 50s, even know its supposed to be what ?, set in the present ?
DARTHORIAN_DARK_WING I think the old time gothic theme is supposed to be what makes it visually special. U see it and think "yes. this IS gotham" Besides, being such a trashy city, it probably dosent get enough funding to make new buildings. As far as i know, only Bruce Wayne helps pay for that kind of thing (besides taxes of course), and of course had the architects make it so its easier for batman (like the gargoyles and the grates, and the vents) Thats what i head anyway.
Cash: Why can't we have a normal pyromaniac? Why does ours have to fly? Charlie Brown: Why can't I have a normal dog like everyone else? Batman: Alfred, I'm going after Lucy Van Pelt. Time we drop-kicked her spree.
Driver did not disappoint, never missed not once. I can’t stand the flimsy car and the driver did this effortlessly. It was definitely worth the watch.
This mission would've been fun to do once... Not three fucking times... Seriously Rocksteady, what happened to the awesome boss fights from the previous games?
Amrit Singh OK, you D*ck, let my try that. The whole point of the Arkham games was to make gamesrs feel like batman. And while Knight may have some loose ends here and there, it still was an enjoyable adventure!
+Titan Gamer 17, my guy deathstroke boss battle in a tank AND THEN BATMAN KOS HIM IN ONE HIT, arkham knights boss battle IN A TANK BATTLE, manbat, all u had to do was grab him 3 TIMES AND THATS IT. Two face just stop the three banks, silent takedown two face and thats it. Story wise arkham knight was very disappointing, 70% tank battles and 30% batman. Only parts that were good was going to the staggs airships, ace chemicals and harley quinn taking over movie studios where the 4 jokers were. Be the batman my ass, more like be the bat tank.
Amrit Singh OK, you want to do it that way, let me just point out the positives and negatives: 1- Yes, Arkham Knight's boss battles weren't the best (especially Deathstroke's). Then again, boss fights aren't something Rocksteady always perfect, the boss battles in City were epic though, but remember the joker boss battle at the end of Asyulm? 2- The story could've slightly been better with the writing but it was generally good (not as good as city's though), since the story challenged Barman mentally and physically as a character; what sacrifices he will make, and what he has to go through as Gotham's defender. What pisses me off about the story is that everyone keeps saying that it's predictable, just the Arkham Knight's identity was predictable (although not poorly excuted), if you still think so, then tell me you also already knew about the parts where **Spoiler Alert!** Oracle was alive the whole time or Henry was infected as one of the jokers all along. 3- The batmobile was constantly shoved down our throats, I'll admit that, but I did not necessarily hate it since it gave the gameplay variety and using those batmobile weapons were pretty awesome! 4- Not all the game involved the batmobile, what about the part where Barman uses detective vision to solve crimes, what about the part where he beats down thugs on the streets with his fists and gadgets. If that didn't make you feel like Barman, I don't what did! 5- The side missions (while a little repetitive), were epic and fun in their own right. Stopping Two Face's thugs against the clock was pretty exhilarating, the Man Bat one was cool, starting with the jumpscare, finding a cure, then tracking the creature down though the beautiful Gotham skies was pretty neat. Even the Riddler's side mission (minus collecting all the trophies) was pretty fun, solving puzzles with catwoman and then racing in Riddler's tracks was awesome, plus if you do manage to collect all the trophies, you do get a good boss battle with the riddler. 6- I understand Arkham Knight gets a lot of hate because of said reasons, but it's generally not a bad game, it has an 87/100 on metacritic and even the pc port is better now. So, to sum up, Knight did have loose ends, but it was a pretty good and fitting conclusion to the best superhero gaming framchise. And if you still have a lot of negative things to say about it, then go play Superman 64 for christ's sake!!
So wait... Firefly should have been put in the asylum but the thing is he didn't show up in 2 games but scarecrow shows up in 3 games because arkham city he took off his mask to make a new one so that still counts as him being there!
I personally feel like the bosses being mostly anticlimactic is supposed to represent that this is Batman’s last outing and he’s fought them to the point where he knows how to take some of them down in one hit.

Well you should have considered the consequences of swearing on the Internet for attention

And some people said Batman Arkham Origins had no relations to the Batman Arkham games...
They do have relations: Firefly, Deathstroke, Black Mask, Copperhead's blood in ACE Chemicals and Electrocutioner's Shock gloves.
@@JinxTheLooneyToon915 one of the thugs even mentioned anarky
Firefly is very in touch with his inner child. It's why he's such a pyromaniac
he sounds like cell in his first form
But more insane
He sounds nothing like cell in his first form
Firefly is one of my favorite Batman villains! So glad to see him in this game and being so cool in it!
@ 4:42 lol, Joker XD
I thought i was the only one xD
Wonder what he was going to say before you decide to run him over.
I’m pretty sure that thugs can become the joker randomly when you’re still hallucinating
You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
Firefly: I can't be stopped!
*Tackled to the ground in mid air*
Batman: You were saying?
4:40
So we just gonna ignore the fact that was a joker hallucination dodging the Bat-mobile?
Happens too fast
4:00 Whats stopping Batman from
Beating him right there? Plus even if Firefly flew away Batman could grapple on to him like in Origins.
***** bullshit he cant fight awesome in this game but the developers were just lazy as hell and wanted to repeat it
***** He's getting old, that's why he just just flips around everywhere when he's beating thugs.
***** what do you mean "he's getting old"? this is the most skilled he's ever been in any of the games
Zein Alfurati Rocksteady said before this game came out "this is batman at the peak of his powers", also, why are you everywhere lol?
Zein Alfurati we'll you always happen to comment on the same threads as me
Fun fact: firefly shares the same voice actor as sundowner from metal gear rising
Happy to see Firefly return for the finale but I suppose the big problem with this side mission is that it is short and seemingly there is no way to fail. I wouldn't have minded if Firefly provided more obstacles where he can probably catch you out and cause you to fail
+MrPerfect2000Z I don't know about you but I lost him a lot of times.
I know it is possible to fail I've seen let's plays that show it
0:47 First time I played this I instantly thought Red-Hood but then I remembered Azrael from the trailer.
Same here
And then Red Hood shows up anyway

Firefly: I'M FUCKING INVINCIBLE
WB Montreal's Arkham Origins portrayed Firefly better, just like Bane, just like Killer Croc (though he was awesome in Asylum, we didn't even fight him) and just like Deathstroke (compared to his laughable appearance in Arkham Knight)
How did they protray firefly and killer croc better
KING VINYLZ Sure Killer Croc was necessary in Asylum, but at least we got to fight them in Origins.
He means better boss fights
origins really nailed the boss fights. At least batman beat the shit out of firefly once he got him and here he just let him go several times ( so stupid )
a dud its like the arkham knight tank battle
I'm fine with the chasing as long as it meant like, for instance, when you fly on top of him, he soars into the air and eventually you both have a battle in mid-air and use Dive Bomb to dodge his flamethrower, as well as use the GWG mechanic, then you can dive down after him as he falls when you knock out his wings and it just looks cool as shit.
An amazing thought just came to my mind, what if they hired Morgan Freeman to voice Lucius and modeled him after Freeman???
Firefly: "Gotham will be ashes by dawn"
Batman: "That's the problem. The night won't end. So there won't be dawn."
Firefly, dont burn Gotham, burn school
I think the exact same thing
10:46 that power slam though
I’m surprised he didn’t say “how do you turn oak to ash?You burn it! (Cue evil laugh)
I don't get it.
if rocksteady did the same boss fight that wb montreal did in origins. everyone would just say that rocksteady turned lazy. if you think about it. this was the only thing they could do with firefly
Cmon firefly the man destroyed you with glue the last time! And you're going to challenge him when he is in the bat mobile?
Firefly looks like he could use some moisturiser
Will Tenenbaum And, Mederma ;) .
And plastic Surgery
Uh.... That's fourth degree burns. Be got third degree burns and kept getting first degree burns.
Crispin did a fantastic voice performance here though after finally finishing the game myself, things like this really make look at Origins in a new light. Even if it was just for the boss battles.
10:39 - 10:45 why didn't he just do that the first time?
36 isn't old.
He's 35 years old lol he's not old
Bruce Wayne Actually, 33 years old.
Menfhis24 Because you need to catch him 3 times. Rocksteady has learned from Nintendo I guess.
Zein Alfurati The events of Arkham City were set one year after Asylum, and so is Arkham Knight, which means Batman is 33 years old.
It should have been longer but was still a pretty awesome most wanted mission
4:44 I saw the joker behind the batmobile!
He shows up constantly as visions due to Batman having Jokers blood in his bloodstream, and Scarecrows fear toxin
yeah me too
Cash: Why can’t we have a normal pyromaniac? Why does ours have to fly?
Me: Nobody knows Cash. Nobody knows.
Because it's Gotham. The most dangerous place ever existed.
Best fire related villain ever. He's awesome. Go Firefly!!!!! #LetTheFireBurn #GothamInFlames
@bruhmanofyear2647no lol
Firefly>>>Heatwave@bruhmanofyear2647
I like this boss, it is very challenging each time.Very intense because Firefly will throw bombs to make you lose balance
Love how one of my favorite Batman villains got some video game screen time
What happens now that Rocksteady said that this is the last Arkham game? The channel won't have much use once you've covered everything in the game.
They will make a new game
+Ben Collins This is how it ends this is how BA videos died.
There won't be any sequel by RS but might be by WB.
Yeah about that...
Thanks to this guy, Sundowner from MGR sounds like an old man with breathing problems in my head.
"I'M FUCKING *HUUUUFF* INVINCIBLE! *HUUUUF*"
I know everyone else saw Joker at 4:43
In my opinion this is how I would have designed this boss fight: (First fight) 2:22 After Batman puts out the fire he gets out of the car and turns on his detective mode to scan the area, once you start scanning 2:37 firefly blasts threw the wall.
This was the first side mission I ever completed the first time I played!
Firefly's name is Garfield Lynns
I know what he is
And he's the most dangerous of all of Batman's Rogues gallery.
@Aaron Peavler/Geomodelrailroader Railroad Photography
we know thats you firefly. quit bragging on the internet.
I would say the most dangerous is Poison Ivy because of her abilities. After her there coming Ra's Al Ghul, Bane, Deathstroke, Killer Croc and so on. I like Firefly, but he is by far not the most dangerous villain in Gotham.
Remember when Firefly had that incredible cinemact Boss fight?
Yeah me too
We helped firefighters yesterday. They followed Firefly. Fitting we continue the story :D
I love how they put together a little reference from Arkham origins when they said "you beat me once bats, a long time ago"
Anybody else got Sundowner from MGR when they heard Firefly's Voice?
You gotta give it to Arkham Origins, they came up with a killer Firefly design. Glad he showed up again in Arkham Knight.
Firefly is the best. pyromaniacs are my favorite type of Villains.
I like the firefly chase and how he puts fire on roads as a trap for batman and when time comes batman strikes him.
When I saw Firefly in this game I was like: "Firefly? Looks like Garfield Lynns wants finished where he left off in Arkham Origins and this time there's no $50,000,000 bounty"
My brain is funny. Every time I see Firefly my brain starts humming "Flight of the Bumblebee," for whatever reason
You've been extinguished, Firefly. Lights out!

When I go so far from the batmobile and then I call it, it comes so fast that am like Jesus are you stalking me?
Firefly aka Garfield leinns I know him he was hired by black mask or joker he is in the royal hotel with other assassins earlier and flew out the window then firefly is going to pioneers bridge with four bombs there was the hostages by the second bomb on top of the train since Arkham origins
10 years since Batman stopped firefly and he shows up attacking every fire station in Gotham cause he is obsessed with fire and flames and ashes.
Really cool how you can see all the villains in jail and talk to everyone of them.
Gotham on fire might be my favorite mission in batman Arkham knight
So you like repetitively chasing people?
Firefly is one crazy pyromaniac
clearly the boss fights in the BAK are the most mediocre among Arkham series even Origins . . .
Really don't understand Rocksteady decisions for this
Croz Raven Are you implying that Origins had mediocre boss fights? it has hands-down the best all-round boss fights of the series.
videogamenostalgia
for me arkham City had the best boss fights cause' it has the most fun and engaging factors
videogamenostalgia Origins did have the best boss fights, followed by City, then Asylum, and I don't even count Knight cause if some fights were considered boss fights by the producers then they have really bad tastes. They just concentrated the majority of the game on the batmobile
Wesley Fuller Let me go through all of the boss fights and tell me how these are the best.
Bane: Wait for bane to roar and hit L1 to batarang, remove tubing- rinse and repeat
Generic Titans 1-6: Same shit, different toilet, need I say more?
What ever shall I do? ;(
Scarecrow: The only one I actually really liked that felt different from all other encounters.
Because people would bitch that the side mission was too short if Batman had to take him down and pummel him once.
Holy shit those mid-sentence inhales sounded so painful
Did anyone notice Joker make a very brief appearance at 4:43 when Batman calls his batmobile?
really glad firefly will be in the new batgirl movie underated villian
The other bat vs the pyro assassin
ill bet any money this guys related to pyro
Seeing tf2 is like around the 80s, pyros probably his dad...mom...parent...or uncle aunt something
U see it and think "yes. this IS gotham"
Besides, being such a trashy city, it probably dosent get enough funding to make new buildings. As far as i know, only Bruce Wayne helps pay for that kind of thing (besides taxes of course), and of course had the architects make it so its easier for batman (like the gargoyles and the grates, and the vents)
Thats what i head anyway.
Cash: Why can't we have a normal pyromaniac? Why does ours have to fly?
Charlie Brown: Why can't I have a normal dog like everyone else?
Batman: Alfred, I'm going after Lucy Van Pelt. Time we drop-kicked her spree.
Firefly is pretty fast with his jetpack but i managed to capture him
Driver did not disappoint, never missed not once. I can’t stand the flimsy car and the driver did this effortlessly. It was definitely worth the watch.
This mission would've been fun to do once... Not three fucking times... Seriously Rocksteady, what happened to the awesome boss fights from the previous games?
Since when are the boss fights the most important thing in the Arkham games?!
+Titan Gamer 17 it always has been jackass -_-
Amrit Singh
OK, you D*ck, let my try that.
Amrit Singh
OK, you want to do it that way, let me just point out the positives and negatives:
1- Yes, Arkham Knight's boss battles weren't the best (especially Deathstroke's).
I was waiting for someone to say: "jet fuel can't melt steel beams"
All I hear is sundowner
The background music while chasing firefly sounds like a tom and jerry chase music
Firefly has some seriously bad lungs.
Firefly aka the original Jigsaw from The Punisher.
Love the gameplay! Really want to see easter eggs... I'm too lazy to look for them lol
Firefly: This will not be like last time!
Me: Because last time you two weren't playing a game of tag across the city.
instead,it's just a bridge.
That firefighter is lucky he got to know firefly before going in that cell
4:43 watch at x0.25.
Joker's ghost appears as one of the street thugs for a moment!
fire fly sounds like a mad kid that sounds like a farmer
