- The GTX is the sporty version of the Volkswagen ID.4. Is it like a GTI or not so much? In this video I will show you everything you need to know about the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX!
VW should offer this with the regular engine. Nice looking vehicle! A lot better than Tesla Y.
VW shoud offer the GTX without coolers inside the car - all black 🎉
I think there is a Chinese only model too. With VW, Kia, Hyandai and others the EV world is getting interesting now.
Sure is!
They need to offer this in America
It is coming to America. They just don't call it the GTX
I thought it would get to America first?
@@jenny80myles So gonna have the red stitching and everything or are you talking about AWD?
VW may have hit the target with an all family car. Transistion from gas car to electic not a big change. Excellent for mom and kids without feeling you are in a rocket ship and Dad I guess can just keep dreaming about blasting off...
Great review.
6:07 Front engine?
6:18 Front engine?
Very nice. Looks like a fun ride.
Thanks for the review.

what are the EMF radiation readings across the cabin? high voltage->high induction->high EMF RADIATION VALUES->BAD FOR HEALTH
You imply health risk but are not aware that a regular ICE car produce a strong EMF field too.... spark plugs are at 40.000 volts, significantly higher than anything in an EV. Xeon lamps balasts are at 15.000 volts... Radio/ECU's and in car computers produce strong EMF too.
I would be 100.000 times more worried about going out in the sun...
In 2014, a new study was published by SINTEF, a Norway-based independent research organization, simply called “No danger from magnetic fields in electric cars.” The research that made them reach this conclusion was fully funded by the European Union and it is claimed to be “the most comprehensive study yet carried out to identify different sources of magnetic fields in electric cars.”
As its title suggests, SINTEF’s view is:
“There is absolutely no cause for concern. The difference between this research and similar earlier work is that we have taken into account what contributes to the magnetic fields. The rotation of the wheels themselves generates considerable magnetic fields, irrespective of vehicle type.”
Seven different EVs were tested, along with one gasoline car and one powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. In the EVs, the strongest magnetic fields were recorded near the floor, where their batteries are located; their strength decreased nearly tenfold when measured at around head height.
One finding that may come as a surprise is that there’s not a huge difference between EVs and regular gasoline- or diesel-burning cars. Researchers argue that this points to the fact that all cars, regardless of power source, generate magnetic fields and while they are slightly higher in electric vehicles, they aren’t significantly higher and thus shouldn’t harm their occupants.
Has the packaging changed up front? How come no frunk view?
No, still the same. No frunk.
@@autoraiinternational ,
Damn. Ok. Thanks for replying
Your towing numbers are wrong, its 1000kg on normal id4 and 1200kg with GTX.
Good point, but actually it depends on the country. Same ID.4 GTX has different towing capacity in The Netherlands Vs. Germany for example. Only heard about this recently. Quite strange, but different rules and laws.
Perfect review!!! Thanks.
Thanks Collin, I'm glad you liked it!
Any advantage with larger wheels?
No, less range and less comfort. But they look great.
So Why Is The GTX Edition Not Coming To The U.S.?
It has, its called AWD
@@patrikespelund6555 YEA I ordered one 3 months ago i will probably get it in 2 years BUMMMER
You Viking or German?
Big family SUV? Says who?
Although it isn't huge, for European standards it's quite large. It's their third largest SUV they sell in Europe. But I know it's regarded in the US as a compact SUV, so I can see your point.
I'm guessing a Chevrolet Suburban would be classified as a school bus in Europe. :)
So this is the fast one? LOL...
Not a race car
