i would actually like to say that the iron ore is pretty nice to go after when your still new at the game and learning about crafting. get a bunch of iron, go to weaponsmith, craft the ingots, and then craft the lockpicks. i usually sell save up like 10-15 stacks then sell on market for around 300+- each stack. really good money starting out cause they sell insanely fast.
In the top middle rom with an altar there's also a Lion's chest and the top left mining room is actually not in the corner, but in the room with the stairs exit.
May i suggest an idea? Make a new video about spawns and what is the optimal path to get the most loot/chest. I mean if you are here and there go here, after that here and there, kill this and you can get the most loot in a short time with this path. Would love to see that.
I can work on those too! I’ll probably finish doing map guides and try to do a video per spawn or something. With goblin caves, in full honesty, the best pathing is to just bum rush cave troll, and then you can decide if you want to leave or fight cyclops from there. Even if you spawn on the other side of the map 😅😬 But if you’re looking for jewelry specifically, centipedes are great.
Would love to see a map secrets video. Apparently crypt pyramid has a secret room and the only video I could find on it wasn't clear about where in the module it was. Also for example there is a door in one of the modules here that has its lever hidden as a statue arm
I’m hoping to have the Ice Caves one either next Monday/Tuesday and then Crypts will come out at the end of the week. I’m studying up for that one haha
Make boss fights non third partiable, the doors should lock so players can’t cheese in groups by keeping 2 in and 1 out, that would solve the third party issues as well.
I'm here I'm here! I am struggling hard in crypts/hell or whatever reason this last weekend (have only had time to play on weekends sadly) except today. I'm on my way home from work early and was thinking of farming gold. Good timing on this video XD (super rare as well but Iron can spawn in the elevator room. Everytime I want to go get cobalt I swear I find one iron node in the middle)
@Deltsong haha, I had to comment as soon as possible, video came out right when I got off work. I can't remember but did you cover the Rez shrines? Those would be nice too for the future videos.
Looking back at the video here… I actually failed you, and I’m sorry! It’s a bit more to the West. Right next to where I put the R, there’s a little circle showing the ramp up and down. Stay above ground and move down the hallway. That next room where there’s another little circle (indicating a pillar in the middle of the room) is where the rope will drop.
One QoL change that would be extremely nice. Put a tunnel that connects the two bosses, but can't get to the loot room. This way if your forced to spam kill both bosses it's not a serious pain in travel, you can do both from the first room.
Just curious are there any forums or discs you utilize to get some of these insights or is everything pretty much experience? I’ve got all bosses on farm in norms, pushing the same in high roller and looking for communities where more intermediate players may bounce ideas or tips off each other. Appreciate the vid regardless, love your stuff
There used to be updated maps that I would use online, but they stopped being updated (GC is still the 3x3 map) so I basically just did this all from memory because of that. People will occasionally discuss things on my discord, but more often than not it’s asking about classes, or just talking about class balance. But I’m sure if you wanted to start a discussion there some people would chime in :) And thank you!
The easiest way to explain is if you go into the NW corner of the room. There’s a ramp down heading South that brings you to one of the doors where you can fight him. The other one is in the middle level. If you see the ladder, or dropped down where the ladder is - go to the opposite side (I want to say North, but that could be wrong…)
Im a noob so other people probably wouldn't need this information... but I was hanging around in the bottom right hand corner, I had seen the rope Icon so I thought i was find but when I went to look for it, I couldn't find how to access it, it looked like there was a trapped door or something I couldn't reach?
That one just drops down in the hallway right there next to the chests. If you didn’t see it, it’s either because it was too early in the game or someone had already taken it. 😬 Edit: I just realized where you were probably coming from… In the room that has a hole in the floor, there’s a pressure plate that you can throw a torch or something on that opens a path at the top of the stairs.
The goblin mine extract? Just look for the blue staircase on the mini map. It’s just in the wall there. And if someone took that already, I would usually just go to the portals directly south of there in the river :)
I usually just cycle through the center room and few rooms surrounding it and can usually find 3-4 players in solos or 2-3 teams in duos/trios. If you play high roller, people are more likely to be ratting around the outskirts though 🙃
I would've appreciate if the video had an actual visual guidance rather than a map. I can find more accurate pic in dnd wiki... I appreciate the effort, but for a beginner like myself, i find this unuseful
Okay, I can try to do something like that in the future. The DaD wiki pics haven’t seemed useful at all to me though in understanding map flow though. :)
@@Deltsong Thanks for the video and the quick response as well! One thing I've been wondering is about spawn locations. I'm trying to learn cave troll and I never seem to spawn anywhere near the module. Am also struggling on rogue in general since most my time has been on fighter.
@@oxykostis3153 darkanddarker.map.spellsandguns.com/map/Crypt-01-N This is a good resource if you want to learn the spawn locations. After a while, you’ll eventually just learn where you are, but this map shows basically where anything is while you’re learning. Just pick what map you want and then unselect everything that you don’t want to see! Or now you can just press M in game to pull up the map and see where you are :) When it comes to rogue… The most viable playstyle (imo) is hand crossbow poke sadly… Once you get enough gear (true phys and dex) you can use the one shot build from stealth build, but without it… Good luck tbh 😅

This is one of the most helpful guides I have seen for DaD.
I’m glad it helped!
I have 3 hours in game thank you so much for posting. Time stamps would be great for quick reference. Gonna rewatch these all

Okay, I can do one of those sometime then! :)
There is a lever in the center of one of the walls around pyramid that opens a trapdoor.
that exactly the vid i was looking for!
Glad you found it! :)
Waiting on doing ruins was a good idea now that its 3 tiers again. Need these videos so bad though lmao
Great info
Can't wait for the Ruins video!!

nice video,if it cound include the other altars would be perfect! thanks for sharing~
in the top left there ether could be lion head times two or one lion head and one gold
Make boss fights non third partiable, the doors should lock so players can’t cheese in groups by keeping 2 in and 1 out, that would solve the third party issues as well.
I both agree and disagree… Fighting over the best loot in the game should be a thing, and not just whoever got the closest spawn should get it.

Oh okay, that’s good to know about the iron I guess. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in that room! Haha

I put rez shrines and health shrines right at the end on the same screen 🙂
This is a great vid. Right now I'm trying to figure out the southern rope exit... I can't figure out how to get to it.😢

Yessir!

That’s fair, and would be really nice, but I don’t think it’s too hard to travel from one room to another. Most classes can do it in about a minute.
Just curious are there any forums or discs you utilize to get some of these insights or is everything pretty much experience?

I can't even find the goddamn entrance to cyclops. That place is aptly named "Goblin maze" cause fucking hell...

@@Deltsong Cheers lad. I'll curse my way in there eventually, gotta finish the Goblin quests😂
Top middle module always has an open lions head behind the 2 mummies.
They changed that to a res shrine. Unless I’m confusing that with something else
Thank you great video
Thank you 🙂
Thanks man
Of course :)
there are many ores in next to top left
That’s cool if they added that back (I honestly haven’t played the game in a little but). It was completely dry of any ore for a while.
Feedback: please add video timestamps! :)
