I do the SAME thing with words in books, it's really bad when I do it with names and then I hear someone else say it and I'm like.. well now I have to retrain my brain to say it properly so I don't sound like an idiot if I talk about it to others lol. (Not me acting like I have friends IRL. Just my sister and she doesn't read anything but Harry Potter over and over lol). I don't read much sci fi myself but the one series I love I'm not sure you would be in to so I guess I don't have rec's for you.
