Mr Barlow has a hole in one, a rock and a hole named after him - all Liam has is a European Tour Victory! Great course - love the fact that a par 63 course can be so much fun. But I loved ‘George is as dry as ‘Ghandi’s flip flop’ - hysterical.
All these courses would be a dream come true for me. Living in the US however, here we are 18 months after the virus and all travel regulation is still a day-by-day whim of the incompetent. I would love to get over there next summer for the Open Championship. Sigh...until then I live through you guys and your antics. Long live GolfMates!!👍

Cool old photos of Tom Morris, I had to Google him because of that heavy (wool?) jacket, near impossible to find a photo where he's not wearing one. Couldn't imagine playing in that, but different times eh. Definitely a gentleman's game back then. Not that it can't be at times today. But I don't think I have more than a couple friends that can count past five once they step foot on a golf course. Cool video and neat history of the course.
If you fancy a trek get up to Askernish Golf Club on South Uist, also designed by Old Tom Morris and an absolute gem and due to its location never too busy.
We are spoiled for choice in the north east for sure. Staying about a 7 iron’s length from the 1st tee at Rosehearty ain’t bad either. Any time your passing just fire on👌🏻

Liam, if you’re ever down south, please take a trip to Beauport Golf Course in Hastings. One of the hilliest and most difficult terrains in the country. Under development but improving nicely. Heavy Ballesteros would make light work of the shots out of the woods!
