In keeping with the tradition we established in The VSS, the scarce archive of live videos for Pleasure Forever is mostly from the weirdest shows or with bad sound. This clip is the former: The sound guy mixed the drums way too loud and the guitars were nearly inaudible for all of the bands that played. And the lineup of electronic, rap, hardcore and us was bizarre. The obnoxious video effects were added on the live projection of the show, not by us. The mood in the band was dour on top of it, so it’s not an exceptional performance. So why post it?!? Because it’s one of very few videos in which the sound isn’t completely blown out and distorted. And, despite these issues, this is still a relatively interesting archive of the Pleasure Forever live experience.
