I tried looking up all the names of the staff ghosts, here were the few I found matches for, along with their role in the game 0:00 Shintaro Sato (programmer) 6:31 Kensuke Muraki (programmer) no images of this guy exists, his profile is literally his Mii 32:11 Ryo Nagamatsu (composer) 41:34 Yoshihisa Morimoto (course designer) 1:23:15 Yoko Tanaka (3D designer) 1:35:47 Keizo Kato (Progress Management), and most surprisingly of all 1:05:01 Kosuke Yabuki (planner), best known for his work on this franchise, and ARMS Some others I wasn't able to to confirm are 1:42:15 Taro Bando (sound engineer for MK Double Dash, MK7, and MK8, but nothing for Wii is listed) 1:54:14 Motoaki Fukuda (CG designer for MKDS and Mario Galaxy, but nothing for Wii is listed)
I found that the Cutting Room Floor did a more in depth look at this and found more matches than I did. The most noteworthy one was Konno (1:11:06), who is actually Hideki Konno. He worked as either the producer (as is the case of MK Wii) or director for every Mario Kart title in the series. I don’t know how I missed that during my research, as his name is pretty well known in the community
I noticed a pattern. In maps with mostly straightaways, beginner staff is in kart and expert staff is in bikes. But in maps with more turns, beginner staff is in bike while expert staff is in kart.
Some of these staff are based for going with more of the challenging vehicles like Aero Glider (Jetsetter), Torpedo (Spear) and Blue Falcon, shows you that even they are equally as skilled.
I like to imagine that he thought he was doing a time trial for expert, and halfway through, a staff walked in and was like, “Hey, you know this is for beginners right? Maybe tone it down with your skill level?”
@@CLTurtlefunnily enough he is the expert staff ghost for outreach gardens (probably one of the hardest ghosts to beat in the game imo) so at least he got redemption
Thanks for the video to show off how epically bad the staff ghosts Nintendo made were. Believe me or not, apart from Coconut Mall expert, I’ve never watched a single Nintendo staff ghost since 2008 when I was 3-4 years old
I noticed this too with Rosalina’s Luma. My guess is that they’re separate models that they either forgot or didn’t know how to make those parts opaque
@@handy863 yeah I know but still. Freaking double dash gives Birdo and Yoshi ghost datas for Christ sake, why can’t they do this with Mario kart Wii, and even if it’s based on the tracks, it’s still dumb that they somehow made the character that is unlocked after beating all the ghost datas get a track, yet they can’t do it for the character that literally is unlocked after beating 16 of the courses, it’s just really stupid to me personally.
@@yorukokabuya7105 true. I think Wario fits better for this course in the ds version of the game personally, this could have been where birdo could have been a perfect fit for.
There is a problem with the way you have it setup then. I have a download for the ghosts folder I organised in the description, if that'll help to try instead. If you're running the mod on console, it also helps to use an SD card without anything like CTGP on.
I love how for the Wii Wheel ghosts it still shows a GameCube Controller, but the stick is going mental

I recall seeing the replay as a kid and being quite confused.
I think the actual expert still had a faster first lap though

I wanted to do this after I saw the MKDS one, you did it faster than me :p Good video!
Lol
Thanks I needed a video with this because I wanted to get Mii oufit B and I didn't know which ghosts were experts. Thank you
This reminds me when I spend all of my day to defeat the Luigi circuit ghost.
Ah, the memories. I remember the expert ghosts I struggled on were Maple Treeway, Bowser’s Castle, Peach Gardens & N64 Bowser’s Castle.
I could neved beat the ghost valley one, hardest one fr
I struggle with Rainbow Roads ghost
Coconut malls expert ghost was a bitch
“Beginner vs expert” is the more professional way of saying “noob vs pro”.
Have you noticed that none of the staff used birdo?

Honestly some of the experts aint bad at all considering there wasnt a meta during the games production
Imagine if Nintendo actually watched the world records today, they'd be like: okay why everyone using funky kong + flame runner wth
I don't know if it's me, but the Luigi Circuit Staff Ghost was easy to beat. The first staff ghost at least.

Not for me. It's SO damn hard. I've tried so many times even with manual or automatic...

Just copy the ghosts folder into your MKW-SP file system.
On Luigi’s circuit they didn’t even go on the speed boost 🙄

On my game it says fast staff ghost not expert it there a difference
