At least Leap the Dips reopened 5 years later. Sad that most of the other rides are gone, but the park actually looks nicer now aesthetically.

Grew up coming here almost everyday in the 90's! This really brought me back. Went back to visit Altoona a few years ago and took my kids here! They got to ride the Leap the Dips, go on the waterslides and play in the water area with the ship(i forget what its called). Sad thia park couldnt last. Delgrasso's(down the atreet in Tipton) seems to have taken over

Leap The Dips is an inspirational story. Just throwing it out there, Williams Grove Cyclone has been abandoned the same amount of time, and I believe it could get federal funding (like Leap The Dips has) for the fact that Williams Grove is the second oldest amusement park in the US (Williams Grove Park opened in 1850, only Lake Compounce is older).

Leap the dips was repaired. It was the last ride I rode with my dad 😢

At least Leap the Dips reopening wasn't wishful thinking!
