This is heart wrenching. "Hana wa saku" was sung to support the survivors and victims of the 2011 Tōhoku tsunami and earthquake, one of which is Yuzuru himself. When Yuzuru skates this, I can feel the despair, fear, and tragedy of that day, but at the same time I can feel hope and look from now to the future, whatever and however it may be. The way Yuzuru lovingly lifts those flowers at the beginning, symbolic of the survivors of the earthquake, touches me deeply. I also almost cry remembering that this is mere weeks after COC, when Yuzuru had that horrible accident, but he persevered and still qualified for GP Finals.

Yes, there's so much layer to this programme than simply immaculate skating! And as a yuzu fan from sochi onwards, this is extra heart wrenching to watch, considering so many years have passed 😭
@@ahkeekee9910 can't stand to know he will one day retire. We have videos to watch and remember him. I don't think there has ever been a skater as wonderful or as talented as he is. I haven't watched skating for many many years until I stumbled on a video of him. I watch nightly now, it is calming and so lovely yet athletic, the two mesh into extraordinary skating
@@annestep6741 i agree, like we all know he's bound to retire one day, and the more I think of it, the sadder I become. He's just such a treasure in the figure skating world to me. He is the one that truly got me into watching this sport (in the past, I do, but never so closely)

Hôm nay hiểu được lời bài hát, mình có thể hiểu được lí do. Trong trái tim của Yuzu và người dân Nhật, sự kiện sóng thần 11.3.2011 vĩnh viễn để lại cho họ nỗi đau ko bao giờ nguôi. Thị trấn nhỏ bé ở Nippon (Sendai) là nơi cậu bé lớn lên trong tình yêu của gia đình, bạn bè; Là nơi cậu bé đến với sự nghiệp trượt băng. @@tabindashamaoon124 before this competition in an earlier completion in the season, 2014 Cup of China, yuzu collided with another skater, Yan Han, during 6-min warm up for his free skate and suffered from injuries. He then continued to skate his free program in cup of China. He came into this competition still injured as it's just like two weeks after the collision. He secured the last place for grsnd prix finals in this competition despite still being injured. It was a tough journey to squeeze into the finals here at that time.
And this song is hana wa saku which means that flowers will bloom. Which really has symbolic meaning to skate to here.
