Bro my uncle Ron past away yesterday and he was a crazy old back yard mechanic so this episode just made me smile thinking of the crazy shit he’d do… he had an old ranger he fit a Pontiac 400 in and absolutely killed the tires every time he drove it. The 1500hd was also the only truck that you can get the optional quadrasteer on. The back wheels would turn in the opposite direction of your front wheels to a small degree so you made much tighter turns. It’s a great idea but no one bought into it so it was a very short lived option.

Quadrasteer was available on 1500HDs, 1500s, 2002-2004 Denalis, as well as 2500 Suburbans and Yukon XLs.

I kinda learned the hard way to make nice with neighbors and to become their go-to person for help. When you're out fooling around with your cars or trucks, they don't care when they know you personally. You're not some random kid causing trouble, you're an actual person to them and they chalk it up to "kids being kids." With this crochety old man, go mow his lawn or help him fix up something. Hell, he's probably got a couple gems squirreled away in a garage or barn he's sell to you one day.

I got my papas old farm truck. It's an 87 Dodge Dakota. She smokes like a bitch and the rear end screams like a train goin down the road, 3 misfires and a bad head gasket 😂. Shes still my daily for now till she blows and I'm forced for a rebuild 💪
