My mind is flooded with emotion some good and a lot bad. I lost my father October 15th 2017 and lost my mother July 31st 2022. As of recent my emotions have been all over the place and the constant to it all is not caring about consequences. It's the attitude of who cares if I'm in Jail or homeless. The worst part is that I have no feelings at this point for my own life. I would have no problems what so ever overdosing on pills at this point in my life just because I'm at my lowest point in my life. I must add I don't say this to get attention I say this just cause it's how I currently feel. It's hard 4 me 2 trust people. I'm overwhelmed with emotion at the moment so I'll sign off.

I just knew there was something weighing heavy on your mind and heart, Paul, and glad you had the courage to share your story with all of us. I, too, had a heartbreaking family situation I’ve had to work through. I haven’t spoken or seen my brother in over 10 years. Luckily, I have twin brothers...a pair but one is a spare. The one who helped me when I was homeless. You have done everything humanly possible for your Mom and I have a feeling you will still play a vital part in her life. I will pray you will have some peace of mind and heart. Remember: you are well loved and all of us care for you like family! God Bless You 🙏🏻

You’ve probably heard this before, but there is only one person in the world that you control, and that’s you. Continue to be the best you can be and stay as supportive as you can. Everything happens for a reason. Even the issues that we experience that may be hurtful or stinging will become clear and meaningful… eventually. In the meantime continue to care and be yourself. Hi Paul, I have been told that a burden shared becomes much lighter. I'll take part and I bet everyone here will also and between all of us the burden is bearable! While listening to you my one thought was that you want to let your Mom know how much you love her. So, my suggestion is maybe get some pretty greeting cards and occasionally send her a note to just say "I Love You, Mom". My hope being that it would make you both feel better. You and your family are in my prayers.

I can relate to your family issues. I grew up as the baby in a dysfunctional reorganized family. Mom had a daughter and Dad had a son. They hated one another and I was the go-between peacemaker. At age 28 I became a Christian and God immediately provided a dream job for me across the country. My Mom never forgave me for moving away. When my father died she allowed his son to handle her finances, but made my sister her executor and power of attorney. My sister moved into her senior apartment building and kept hitting her for rent. She also helped herself to my mother's checking account through buying groceries and taking additional money on Mom's debit card. She went through $40,000 in one month. My brother was furious. I had made a point of phoning Mom weekly and taking all my wacation time

hi paul, i'm sure that the phone calls you make to your mother mean more to her than you ever realise.all you can do is to remind your mom that no matter what you are always there if she needs you and that no matter what you will always love her... i can totally get why you're concerned about your nephew looking after you're mom, the words "gold digger" comes to mind... i would be concerned too, but if that's her decision, then no matter how hard it is to accept that, there's not a lot you can do about that, as we cant mess with free will...try to remember that you have never given up on her and always tactfully remind her of this....i try to make time to spend with my mum and feel like i have to make an appointment to see her, although i spend a lot of time on the phone to her only for her to go on about cliff richard !!!! i suppose its only because i know my mum feels embarrassed with the way she lives her life now and is paranoid that her house is not presentable enough for me to visit as she feels she cant be bothered to do daily tasks now as shes 72 and disabled and partially sighted...although we grew up in that very house and i have told her repeatedly im visiting her not the house...
paul, please always remember that its absolutely ok to not be ok... you're only human and you're entitled to have feelings... we all go through life having our issues and making bad mistakes... believe me i'm guilty of that, so it just makes you normal. i'm now a great believer now that life is all about choices and you have the right to choose your own destiny and life with god's guidance.. there's nothing wrong with that..
i have been through the separation situation with my ex wife, and i just made sure that my kids knew they had two homes and that they have the right to choose where they wish to spend time... please try to remember we all have down days mate... try to look forward to having grandchildren and building the future as it is and just enjoy life as much as you can. you need to think about you now ok. you're entitled to a life and to be happy. take care paul, and thanks for sharing your feelings with us. chin up mate :)

    Hey Paul,
I don't comment on many of your video's butni do watch them all.
Totally get how emotional it is to watch your kids become more independent and less like kids, but that's life I guess.
The situation with your mother and family really sucks and must be so hard in you, your heart is in the right place and you've done everything a loving son should do, don't let it drown you, keep your chin up and remind yourself to be thankful for all that you do have and will have in the future.
    Best wishes ❤️

I miss my mom too she passed 10/7/20. I remember when you were in lv taking care of family. Things can be tough but I'm sure that just the sound of her voice is something that must feel good. Family dynamics are never easy we all have them unfortunately money can be the ultimate evil. Stay strong and well 🙏

My kids moved in for a while and just loved it. Not at the same time but both for a 2 year for my son while he got back on his feet and well worth it. Then my daughter for 3 years. Both are now well settled and thriving. My son was 38 and my daughter 47. I miss having them around. But at the end all is well and good for everyone.

Yes, I miss the time when I didn’t have so much pain. Arthritis, migraines, torn rotator cuff, back pain, and right now teeth problems. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I still have made up my mind to stay as happy as possible, sometimes that’s easier said than done, but I would rather stay positive and happy. Sorry about your situation with your mom, I know I went through tough times with my mom. I had to take care of her in her last years when her Alzheimer’s got steadily worse. She’s since passed and I know she’s in a happier place. Take care, Paul! ✌🏼❤️

Hey Paul. I am truly sorry to hear of all the personal crap you are having to deal with in your life right now. I think having to let go and watch someone else looking after your Mom (and not well from the sounds of it) is right up there with having that happen with one of your kids. I pray you can put all that into God's hands and then batten down your hatches and let Him deal. I know...easier said then done but you need to make sure you are caring for yourself right now. God Bless you.

Thanks for your prayer at the end. It hit home for me. We appreciate your deepfelt heart sharings about your family. One of our family members usually says the sweetest things to me on occasions and then out of the blue....snaps viciously at me. I felt God helped me hold my tongue and not snap back, but MAN it took patience to do that. Even a brief simple comment I made concerning a beautiful sunrise pic I wrote "God is creative!" caused my famiy member to snap "Don't preach!". I don't know the answer to family conflicts. I believe your mother knows you love her and want the best for her. Just love her back.

Hey Paul, it's getting cool here but mostly at night. 40's and 50's but during the day 60 to 80 still. My tomatoes didn't do nothing this summer now they are hanging full but not enough time to ripen. Its sad. Haven't had much time to say hey, but caught a few minutes to say glad to see you. Thanks Paul..

Hey fellow coastie.. If anyone has a family then chances are good they'll have issues sooner or later.
It's never fun but it's a fact of life. Be strong Paul and look after number one.
Never be afraid to unload on us if you feel the need.. A shared burden lightens the load for all.
