As a teenager in the late 70's I would have my ear up to the tv to listen to the band to play Yea Alabama after scoring a td. This is wonderful to hear it so clearly with no sports commentator talking.
Asking as an outsider, when did they Alabama adopt the elephant mascot? They're not called the Alabama Elephants. Stanford is also confusing - the Stanford Cardinal (the color. the bird might offend someone). And Stanford has a green tree as their symbol. Love these Alabama cheerleaders and the band is amazing.
