They’re not the only band who doesn’t repeat a performance. Where I went to high school, all the area hi😢school bands learned a new March each week. Oak Cliff High School, outside of Dallas, used to DANCE when they marched! Now that’s skill! Also, great fun to watch.
I didn’t realize the band didn’t repeat a performance. It takes tremendous practice to get one routine down per season. This is incredible. It’s too bad the rude people who talked constantly in the background missed it.

Absolutely!! The Aggie band is pure poetry in motion - how many hours I remember practicing up and down that marching field, our band director screaming at us when we missed a step - and praising us when we got it down...it was hard work but when it was presented under those Friday night lights, we felt like we were solid gold...and the standing ovation after just made us stronger... Gd rest my old band director...we were very excited to make him proud

@@rvaugh230This is a bit different I would argue… at other sporting events, CFB, NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, and WNBA included, talking, chattering, bantering, yelling, and all the likes is encouraged. The FTAB wants cheering and whooping, it is the greatest feeling in the world to be playing as loud as you can on that field and not able to hear a darn thing, but what we don’t want is chattering… we are putting on a show, not for our enjoyment, but for the audiences. As a former Aggie bandsman (‘76) this video gives me so much pride. What a great halftime show! Their legend will never die. Dignity, self-discipline, and enduring pride. This band was, is, and always will be the standard to which other bands strive to emulate. Gig ‘em!!!
To the person or team that choreographs these drills - WELL DONE! I’ve done that in the past & it is very challenging & rewarding. To all of the participants - OMG!!! The hours spent memorizing & practicing these drills is a HUGE commitment & your work is paying off. The precision shown throughout this drill is terrific! Most folks have no idea what a challenge it is to accomplish what you have done. Those that direct this are doing an amazing job & I give you a round of applause for a job well done.
Damon, that is how I became an Aggie fan ! I went to the 1986 Cotton Bowl game (I went each year no matter who played) to see Bo Jackson play. While I actually was planning to pull for Auburn my ticket was smack in the middle of thousands of Aggies. By half-time I was hooked on what I had experienced all around me. When the game was over I wanted to know everything about Texas A&M. Those years that the Aggies weren't at the Cotton Bowl were so boring; nothing special. I agree with you that an Aggie game is something to witness in person.
I'm a Seattle, WA band mom But must say this is the most incredible marching band I've ever seen. Totally tops Superbowl shows! I'm asking Santa for a bigger TV to watch them better! 😊
Oh man.....Ive never seen such choreography, movements perfection, all rolled into one. Superb and visually stunning from a Pennsylvanian. Even though Im a big Tennessee and North Carolina fan,I think Im an Aggie fan too now!!

During the cross a band member drops his hat. At 5:33 you can see the cap on the feild in the ‘V’ above the ‘M’ near mid feild. At 5:56 a band member kicks the cap onto the ‘M’. Later at 7:20 another band member kicks it again and flips it up in the air and lands it right side up. At 8:24 you can still see the cap on the feild, however when the shot panes right at 8:44 the cap is gone. I think this because at 8:31 in the very upper right corner someone dressed in white pants and blue jacket runs onto the feild to retrieve it.
I miss those half-time shows we got to see years ago. Why do we need to watch and listen to commentators discuss the first half after we just watched it? To me it only seems right that band members get their half-time performance aired on TV as members of the school and for all of the time, dedication, and work they have done to be on the field. They really need to go back to showing the bands again on tv.
This performance is just amazing! Playing your music and staying in sync with the rest of the band members is just amazing! The hours of practicing they must have had just to get this far!
Totally amazing,, a lot of hard work by the band members and their director... Makes one wonder just how in the hell do they choreograph the maneuvers. Blows my mind.. Congratulations to all who work on these performances.. May God bless and protect Aggie Land.
