Thank you for this superb Music ! I saw Harvey Mandel playing with Canned Heat in a small nightclub in Perth Australia in the mid nineties and it was fantastic . When Harvey played a solo the dance floor filled with happy patrons , we all enjoyed it . I met Jeff Healey there , Jeff was playing at another venue a couple of nights later . When I told Jeff Healey that I enjoyed watching him play in the " Roadhouse " movie he shook my hand enthusiastically .
Good job with the camera. I saw Harvey at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma, CA back in the 90's. Peter Tork and Gregg Allman were guest performers on some of the songs. A few years ago I saw Harvey with Electric Flag, including Barry Goldberg and Nick Gravenites, at the Blue Note in Napa, CA.
Sorry I missed those shows! Can't believe I missed those. (dammit!) Saw him in Petaluma at the defunct Zodiacs with an all-star band a few years ago and at the Electric Flag 50th Anniversary.
Harvey Mandel & the Snake Crew have played "Jerry Knight's River Theater" on the Russian River earlier this year & last year. Thanks for the great vid!
Still hunting for that "violin" tone he gets on the main lead line. So many curveballs in the licks he throws out - one of the best players I know for keeping you guessing!
Mandel always been hot, maybe not so much people knows about that but in the ''snake'' and ''shangrenade" albums, at that he played the Van halen technique if i can say that way, before him, we can heard that....of course also S.Hackett of Genesis played that technique in the same years in return of giant hogweed and in dancing in moonlith night
Thank you from Harvey and the band. This is Mick Martin (harmonica player); will "friend" you on Facebook. Our manager would be curious to see any other video you shot. This is awesome!
Great Job of catching Everyone in Harvey Mandel and The Electric Snake Crew!!!! Great colour! We like it. Did U by chance shoot any more? Please contact me about using this on "The Snakes" up coming new and improved web-site. Thank you Norman Shaw and "The Snake" P.S. Please respond to Mick Martin on Facebook and he'll give you contact info for us directly. Again great job!!!!!
I am a long time fan. Harvey has put out many incredible songs, but this is no longer music. It's sad. He's always been out there, but it looks like he got lost in a backward spiral.
Lose the sepia tone. Remember, you can always add that after you record something. That way you have options and you can have it both ways. It didn't add anything to this video, IMO.
Just bought Cristo Redentor for the third time. Love this guy
Most fabulous musician. Incredible guitar player. My favorite. His music is just unbelievable!
The least followed, missed musician of all time. Pure genius
Groundbreaking
Missed? He's still alive! (age 79 in 2024)
I have loved Harvey's "Wade in the Water" since I first heard it in the listening rooms at UCSD library. Thank you for posting.

This is the spiritual I'm familiar with! Just picking it up hidden within...
This is BAD ASS!

Love the faux "backward gutar" effect.

this drummer is destroying what Harvey is about. lay back.....let the snake lead you.
I love his music but im sorry this is not very good.
I have guitar students better than this.Tired old blues licks and noodling through too much delay and fuzz.
Is this a joke? He’s terrible
