Today I learn how to polish stainless steel to a mirror shine! And what better way to do this than on my EK surface Radiators to change it to the look I'm going for. This is the first step before electro-plating it to the Black Nickel finish that I want.

This PC build will feature a Lian Li o11 Dynamic Evo with an RTX 4090 FE and Intel 13900k in a fully custom water cooled loop. I'll be using an upright GPU configuration and a custom distro on the side that I've designed and made possible and built by Performance PCs. Thanks Garrett!
Safety note on Goof Off - EXTREMELY flammable! Please be careful with it. The large amounts I had to use in order to soak the parts is not ideal. (You usually don't want to ever have to use that much since it's so flammable, and if you do, it's better to use a proper enclosure for it).

A late pinned comment - The scammers are back again! No I don't have telegram so please be careful. Also I had an issue with YT licensing on one of the songs so the audio gets a little weird on the first 3 grits. Had to edit using the YT editor after the upload and it's not ideal. Anyway, I'm so happy that so many of you liked this part of the build. Can't wait to show you guys the next part, which is nickel plating. I literally have no clue how it will turn out as this will be my first time but fail or not, we're in for the ride together!

Thanks I really appreciate that! TBH whenever I film something for the channel there is extra pressure to do it right so I feel like it forces me to take twice the time to do the research and care since others might see it and want to try.

BTW if EK sold these panels in their various nickel/satin/titanium variations I'd buy them over just having black or white. I'm using black nickel fitting everywhere as well, so this would be a no brainer. They could just sell the panels and people could screw them on themselves. I've no clue why they aren't doing this. I'm sure copper side panels would also sell really well.
Never knew you are so skilled in pc building AND working with metal! This is great to see as I am into all these things too and a huge game nerd on top of that.

Also I don't remember if I mentioned, but I checked out some of your videos regarding metals, I've been slowly trying to complete a video on my subs channels, taking forever because I have so many projects going on, but I definitely want to include your channel in the video because I found it super fascinating! I actually learned a lot from them. Also I don't know if I'm skilled in metal work lol, but I am trying to learn lol. I also might make a video on my attempts at using heat to bend copper pipes. Have a bunch of footage that isn't going to be used in my PC build because i ended up not using the coper tubing. May as well make content from the footage
@@SnaxanGaming Yes I remember you mentioning something like that but didn't know if you were actually working on it. I know all about having to many projects and very little time to work on them, Life gets in the way sometimes. Currently I'm still working on a Horizon ZD/FW metal casting project (almost done) but want to make more so that I can send you one too. Copper pipes can be turned into many cool things (not just melting them), I've seen some videos on that and got a project planned for that myself. Looking forward to see more of your crafting projects.

I see that 4090 in the back, will it be replacing the 3090 XC3 in the next build?
Yes, actually two changes to the next build, (one of the reasons why it's taking longer than first anticipated due to getting the part and waterblock for it). I'm using a 4090 and a 13900k instead of 3090 and 12900. I ended up finding a good home for the xc3, I had an old mini case and a bunch of spare parts to do a quick fun off cam build. It's actually in the background too :)

I'm building an AM5 system with the x360m and the new Lian Li SL Infinity fans. It's going to cool a 4090. Nice mod!
Is that a high performance Noctua fan? You should check out the be quiet silent wing pro fans. They just came out but I don't think there's a higher performance fan than them.
I haven't seen those fans! I'll check it out thanks! I'll be honest, I never liked the Lian Li fans for some reason but then I finally tried them for an off cam build and the way they designed them and the way they look in person, I'm a fan now (lol pun intended). Good luck on your build! I'm going with 4090 also.
@@SnaxanGaming I agree with the first generation Uni fans...there were lots of problems with the controller, etc. BUT they fixed everything with the new Infinity SL and v2 fans. The new ones are 20% brighter, they're 28mm thick instead of 25mm and they redesigned the connectors and controller... they're actually a perfect match for the Surface rads because of the fin density on these rads. They are not meant to be used in a push/pull design and you don't even have to go beyond 1000rpm for regular day to day use..but if your going for a nice black out build (I love black out systems) definitely check out the new be quiet pro fans. They can hit an astonishing 3000rpm and look like the nicest high performance fans I've ever seen...I see you got a 4090, be ready to be blown away. My system is still on a test bench (7950x, Asus Crosshair Extreme board). I have never used a video card that increased performance the way the 4090 has done. You won't even consider playing anything under 4k ultra. I had a custom dual D5 distro plate made by Radikult (you should check his stuff out)..oh and don't forget, the 011 EVO XL was announced too.
@@GSP-76 I was actually hoping the evo xl would have been out by now! Way back when they announced it, I planned to build in it. But ended up with normal evo instead. I couldn't use the larger board I wanted because of that but it's been fun figuring out how to solve the problems with the smaller case. also those fans sound great! I'll check them out. Although I would never run fans that high lol.
@@SnaxanGaming Yeah no one runs fans that high unless you want to see the computer fly away on its own, lol. The EVO XL should have been released a long time ago, I don't know what took them so long. The main difference between that and the regular XL is that it supports 140mm fans so you could do 420mm rads. I remember when you did your first build, you had three rads. Are you sticking to three again or just two? You don't need more than two, especially with the x360m...even the 4090 doesn't get that hot. As for CPU, the 3D versions of Ryzen 7000 are coming in January/February. They're gonna be the fastest gaming CPUs ever.

I actually tried with normal. It didn't really work, even after soaking for a long time. There were some funny moments on that. Unfortunately that scene I was alone with no camera help and I didn't notice the camera battery ran out
