Great video, thankyou. Cold air is denser than warm air, meaning the same air will fill less volume. If you don’t add a little pressure before cold crashing it will collapse. Hoping your fermenter is still good.
Great vid. Concise and well edited. Good to see videos using similar gear to what I have to help learn. 👍And as said below I put about 10-12 psi in before cold crashing. I’ve not dry hopped then so no issue for me being depressurised
Cold crashing always causes the gas inside the fermenter to be absorbed into the beer, hence what you saw at the end there. Before I CC in my fermzilla I bump the pressure up to 10 or 12 psi to compensate and also keep a close eye on it and add more co2 if it drops too far.
Hey mate 2 quick ones.. why the thermowell when using the pill? And whats that filter you have connected to your hose when filling up your mash and sparge water?
@@GreedoPortz Hey thanks for the questions. The main purpose for the thermowell is to keep the internal transfer tube in the center of the fermenter when kegging. At the end of the tube there is a float, and a small filter. The filter on the end of the hose is a universal caravan water filter. The one I use is made by a company called Stefani, product code IC-100-CRV. Hope this helps, reach out if you want more info, cheers 🍻

@@KenLovesCraftBeer cheers. That makes sense. Next time I'll make sure to give it a little gas after I dry hop.
Great explanation! It also has the added benefit of carbing while cold crashing, so you don't have to force carb
Another one to add to my list, bring them on....
