We bought our RS new and finally modding it 7 years later. We gained 110hp after first round of mods, going to 1/4 mile track next week. After that i'm swapping from 93 tune to e30. I'm gonna mix it in a can and test it when combined. Its not daily driven anymore so this will work good for me.
@@jacobMMotorsport cool. I'm catching up on your vids. Its nice to see current stuff happening. Most of the focus st/rs vids are 6 years old. I'll have some 1/4 mile times in a week.
Great video! I'm also tuned with Stratified. I have a 91, 93, and low boost map for putt putting around town. I was thinking of going E30 and this video helped me make the decision. Also, once you've selected your map slot, you can just hit CAN again and it'll kick you out of map selection mode.
@@jacobMMotorsport 7:57 So uh...I think you may have misunderstood my comment: I was saying that after you select your map slot, you don't have to sit there and wait a few seconds for the needle on the tach to go back to zero or whatever your current RPMs are. You can just hit CAN again and it will kick you out of Map Selection mode. I hope I explained that clearly. It's not a huge deal, just a few seconds, but that way, you can know for sure that you're out of Map Selection Mode.
Revisiting this video. I had Stratified take my 91 and 93 tune and Combo it with an E30 slot and Eco-Mode slot. Got the same tester and went and tested this one station's E85, which was right on the money. Used an E85 calculator app on my phone and made the E30 blend using 91. The difference was immediately noticeable. Much more torque. Shame I can't always afford to fill up with this stuff. California gas is expensive. E85 is only slightly cheaper.
Just a heads up pump gas is typically 10% ethanol meaning when you put in what percent ethanol is currently in your tank it’s supposed to be 10% not 0. And the focus st has a 12.4 gallon tank not 12.1 otherwise great vid

Yea so once you hit can you can select with whatever maps your tune has without having to reflash

@greecoboost yeah you can just kick it in and out of a map you don’t have to wait

I only use “organic corn” E30. I believe its better as it has less preservatives.
