I have multiple sclerosis snd I was diagnosed when I was 19. Man, people have no idea how lucky they are to be able to walk out of bed, be able not to have pain daily, etc. I hope you know you helping out, is something the mommy will never be forget. It’s sad, and people will watch you struggling and never help. I think the staring hurts the most. I’m actually low key loving this song. It reminds me of something, but I can not put my finger on it. I usually listen to emo/screamo music, and it’s something in that genre. I definitely love this song better than the new ST song 🫣
Just like the Rotoscope EP it didn't grab me at first so I thought I wasn't gonna be a big fan of the new direction, but it got stuck in my brain and now I love it. Looking forward to whatever comes next, they'll smash it.
As a mum to disabled kids I know your efforts made both their day for her to be able to ride like everyone else and fuck those workers who did nothing to help!!!! Small touches of humanity go a long way!
Loved that story Johnny, help those who can't help themselves! It might just be me, but I prefer Courtney's Cleans vs her Heavies, her voice is just so nice to listen to.
Can't put my finger on it, but this song almost feels like a summer anthem, but for metal? So upbeat and energetic (minus the lyrics), it's the kind of song you want to blare when you're driving down the street, windows down, and the sun is shining.
The title said "spiritbox" I read it as "spiritbox" and then I still got halfway through the song thinking "man the is really different, doesn't sound like sleep token at all." I'm a frigin idiot lol😂😂😂
I've worked with severely disabled ppl for over 10 years and Johnny is right! It is not easy at all, good on you mate! Tho, I feel like letting someone in that condition ride is dangerous for them. Anyways, great reaction guys!
I've listened to rock/metal since i was a kid in the 80's. This song brings me so much nostalgia in the best way. Familiar but new and modern with classic spiritbox vibes.
Good for you Johnny. It's nice hearing stories like that especially when there is so much toxicity going on in the world. Also I love this song. It gives such good vibes and I could listen to Courtney sing for hours
Im proud of helpful Johnny!! I really love and appreciate the technicalities of their music. True, this isnt as heavy as other songs. But I love the balance in their discography ❤️
Me waiting the whole story waiting for how it relates to the song was similar to me waiting for some heavier vocals in the Void. It never came… but I loved both anyway 😂
I wanna have a moment and just sit and have a beer with these guys! They’re so wholesome and funny. And thank you Johnny for helping the girl. I’m sure she greatly appreciated the sacrifice you made for her, and I hope your kids gain the good lessons from it :)
Your parkway drive comment killed me. The first thing my husband said when he noticed the name was that it was a parkway song and made the same comment. 🤣 Love the song and thanks for sharing the story.
i loved this song i think it's their best one, Reminds me a bit of deftones when it comes to vocals and guitars, Maybe even a bit of darko US with the drum work and guitars
WAIT WHAT I did not realize that was josh from AILD in the live performance I just watched, that is fucking insane. I am incredibly excited for the possibilities that brings to the band
Good on ya Johnny for helping that woman onto that ride! Really digging this track and I enjoy that it can easily be a follow up to Rotoscope. I also completely forgot about the base player from AILD had joined until you mentioned it. I know everyone likes to rag on As I Lay Dying, more specifically Tim for all the hurt and damage he did when he spiraled, but my inner child feels bad for the guy. Even after all the shit he went through, came back, started making music again and the band stuck with him, but then over the past year or few one by one all the other guys have finally split and joined other bands or started other projects. I know the guy did a lot of bad, but I hope there are people there for him. I know what it's like to lose a whole friend circle from time and growing in different directions, and sometimes it's very lonely and weighs down on you heavily. Tim was an ass and let his paranoia and unstable mental health drive him to do and say a lot of shitty(even unforgivable to those that he affected) things, but he shouldn't have to whither and fade into nothing alone. I'm not saying he deserves this or that, or whatever, just I dunno, I hate to see someone suffering alone. Especially when they would do anything to undo the damage they have done. But I also know that''s much easier said as someone that just has been a fan of his music, and not personally caught up in the messes he made.
I honestly have no idea why are ppl hating on this track. Same goes for the new sleep token single (although the criticism for it is pretty light as compared to this single). Sure it was a bit generic but in no way was it bad. It's like some ppl r hating on it just for sake of hating Was an instant click for me Also you should check out the new Beartooth single, another great one imo.
It's because it's not "br0tal " and they have an overly wierd obsession for breakdowns, which none of the songs have. Only explanation. Both songs are bangers imo, have them both on repeat. Not every song from a metal band needs to be revolutionary, heavy and proggy.
I do love the song but to me this is album filler not a single and certainly not a lead single. I don’t care that there’s no screams it’s just the same tone all the way through so it’s not got any bite at all.
I seem to be in the minority here but I didn't like it. The transition of sound Spiritbox has been going through from the album, to Rotoscope and now this, isolates me more with every transition/new release.
Definitely felt more like a showcase for Courteney and she definitely nailed it. Loved the atmospheric feel to it 🤟
Eternal Blue = Blue
Rotoscope = Red
The Void = Purple
Interesting progression all the way around. Loving the new single.
Josh sings amazing melodies when they do this song live! I just wish he was showcased more in the fully produced studio version.

Its almost like a shoegaze song with pop punk tempo and that melodic djent sound we love them for thrown in there here and there.
Just like the Rotoscope EP it didn't grab me at first so I thought I wasn't gonna be a big fan of the new direction, but it got stuck in my brain and now I love it. Looking forward to whatever comes next, they'll smash it.
I could see that sudden ending being a clean transition into the next song in an album. Love the song. Just a great catchy summer type vibe song.
When Johnny tells us a story that is longer than a trip into The Void...
Hence the time stamp hahaha
@@nathandjohnny Haha. It was a good yarn though. Johnny is a G.C
This totally gives me Garbage Version 2.0 era vibes. Fucking love it.
this song is on repeat. love Spiritbox. they are my favorite right now (for quite some time) haha
Fun fact, putting this song on repeat makes the song seamless and it sounds like its never ending. Like the void. ❤
As a mum to disabled kids I know your efforts made both their day for her to be able to ride like everyone else and fuck those workers who did nothing to help!!!! Small touches of humanity go a long way!
Actually left me dumbfounded as to why none of the staff offered to help in the slightest
Loved that story Johnny, help those who can't help themselves!

the live version is so much heavier and different. so much better.
Love this song!! I love hearing Spiritbox be energetic and upbeat. Each member of the band is so talented, it’s crazy.
The title said "spiritbox" I read it as "spiritbox" and then I still got halfway through the song thinking "man the is really different, doesn't sound like sleep token at all." I'm a frigin idiot lol😂😂😂
I have done this before. Not for this particular video, but I have done it LOLOLOL.
I've worked with severely disabled ppl for over 10 years and Johnny is right! It is not easy at all, good on you mate! Tho, I feel like letting someone in that condition ride is dangerous for them. Anyways, great reaction guys!
Crank up the volume and close your eyes = you’re flying. Love this and Too Close/Too Late’s soaring/immersive sound
Thumbs up for Johnny’s good deed AND the reaction 🤘🏻
Thank you for telling the Story it was interesting to hear and yeah you are right, we all should apriciate the smallest things in life.
It was written before Josh joined. (apparently)
I love the evolution of this band. So many styles and they excel at all of them. The drumming was excellent here. Great vid
Good man Johnny!
Spiritbox's set at knotfest was epic

Seeing them this weekend! I imagine this song will be great live
Me waiting the whole story waiting for how it relates to the song was similar to me waiting for some heavier vocals in the Void. It never came… but I loved both anyway 😂
Good on ya Johnny, cheesy af but very few putting the human in humanity 🤘
They’re playing in NYC soon! I’m so excited for it!
Her clean voice soo good l love it
I saw them play this live in San Diego on Saturday night.
I wanna have a moment and just sit and have a beer with these guys! They’re so wholesome and funny. And thank you Johnny for helping the girl. I’m sure she greatly appreciated the sacrifice you made for her, and I hope your kids gain the good lessons from it :)
Let’s make it happen one day!
Spiritbox // Sleep Token collab when??

This song is solid. I like it as a taste of what to come.. just patiently waiting for you to drop beartooths new track. Top 3 song of the year for me
Loving it!
Good guy Johnny
Love this
Reminds me of the vibe from Amo by BMTH
Who got the woman back down the ride? Thats my question...
No idea, I decided to take the w and move on haha
You guys should definitely check out “Arisaka” by Inertia, they’re an Aussie metalcore band from Sydney, and are fucking amazing!!
I honestly have no idea why are ppl hating on this track. Same goes for the new sleep token single (although the criticism for it is pretty light as compared to this single). Sure it was a bit generic but in no way was it bad. It's like some ppl r hating on it just for sake of hating

so fucking groovy
Rode Microphones needs to hook the lads up with some wireless mics
That would be great
Their best song so far for me 🙌
Y’all are really sleeping on Aviations. Their new song legend fucking rips man.
Aviations is so greatly under appreciated
I do love the song but to me this is album filler not a single and certainly not a lead single. I don’t care that there’s no screams it’s just the same tone all the way through so it’s not got any bite at all.
Big fan of Spiritbox but this one felt a bit more like an album filler track. Fairly forgettable.

Solid song, but in my opinion it is not worthy of being a "single" just too generic and forgettable great filler track on an album.
