- An unexpected new take from a band I discovered on this channel and fell in love with. The Void was incredibly refreshing and had a lot of fun with this one from Spiritbox

That moment at the end, when they finally go into halftime... it's SUCH good songwriting. It feels like a relief after the hurried pace of the rest of the song, so much so... you don't just want to listen to that part again, you want to listen to the whole thing again to experience that feeling again. Bravo, Spiritbox. Bravo.
Absolutely. Brilliant release at the end. Loving the vocal melody in the verse and pre-chorus. 👌👌👌
One of my favorite songs by them. So much energy in that uptempo, very shoegazy in a way with all the layers of guitar and vocal harmonies
Always look forward to what you will react to next, Chase. Your articulation is something else. This was no exception as I found this song to be quite amazing for many of the reasons you mentioned. It was quite enjoyable to really listen and search for all the different musical layers that they fused together so wonderfully. Keep up the great work! One of the most insightful reactors I've seen. HADGD!!
Bro I just admire how much you analyze music and the way you listen to music in general. Reminds me a little bit of myself in a way. Honestly brother you're unique and I always love watching your content. Keep it going mate.
Got to see this debuted at their tour opener a couple weeks ago and loved it live. The whole show was amazing, my only complaint was Courtney's mic was a little drowned out by the instruments but was still greatly enjoyable as my first rock show.
Love your reactions man, appreciate what you do
I love when bands decide we don't have to play music that fits a formula, we'll just play whatever we like. This song with only clean vocals certainly breaks the Spiritbox mold and I love it. Keep us guessing what is gonna come out of the speakers and I'm good with that.
What a talented band!!
Searching through your channel, i didn't found your reaction to Spiritbox "Circle with me"... I suggest you should try the one take performance after the studio version, the difference is actually quite obvious! Keep it up Chase, thank you so much!!
Love your reactions bro... side note thanks for putting me onto this band from ❤
I wasn't sure about this one at first, but it's a real grower. Probably one of my favourite Spiritbox songs now.
Man, there's just something nostalgic with that post-hardcore instrumentation, I'm immediately taken back to the first time I listened to Underoath's Their Only Chasing Safety. This track rips.
Always looking forward to your reactions! Keep it going! 🙏
If you haven’t heard Hysteria yet, you should do a reaction. It’s easily one of the best songs they’ve done.
Always love your insights❤❤❤
I can promise they are amazing live!!
Love your reactions man. The passion you have for music is just awesome to watch.
Love this song, and well the whole EP is great, but this song gave me such strong vibes of the earlier albums from Issues, it feels like it could fit on either Issues or their 2nd album Headspace, just add in a record scratch or two and boom you’re there haha.
Would love to see you do more reactions to the other songs on this EP.
Thank you so much this! Really appreciate the kindness and the support. Definitely up for more from this one for sure
Always love your reactions Chase! You have great way to connect to the average listener as well as the nuances that any musician could pick up on. This is great tune. Love Spiritbox
The instrumental of this song does so much work and contrasts so well with Courtney's voice. It also almost feels like a showcase of both old and new Spiritbox. There's a very prog and shoegaze feel particularly in Mike's guitar and the breakdown feels like older Spiritbox but Courtney's vocals is that more poppy sound they've had on the newer stuff. It has me hyped for more new stuff
This one is a grower not a shower. Gets better and better with every listen!
Of all the possibly great things I could have said about this reaction, here she goes: "that's one mighty nice mug, Chase!" ;-)
Hey I just wanted to say thank you for entertaining us. I love spiritbox too and discovered them through reactor like you, tank and some others. ❤
always enjoy your reactions mate
Aaah nice one 🙏
I was at their show in Phoenix Az when they played this live for the first time and it was amazing to hear it that way for the first time.
My car ate my Eternal Blue CD last week and it broke my heart. 😢
I regularly clean out my RUclips subscriptions (only keep around 15-20 at one time, have added/removed this one about 3 times so far), but I think I'm done removing this channel from the mix. Just a random internet stranger saying "hey, thanks for putting up with the rest of the horribleness of the internet and keeping on keeping on". Looking forward to the Babymetal reaction tomorrow. I even clicked the notifier, I never do that for anyone :)
Hey Brandon, thanks so much for the support and the honesty here. Grateful for all the time you've spent watching these and of course I'm grateful for the sub. Most of all, as long as you're enjoying them, then I'm happy. 💪
There's always something good in a Spiritbox song, but I still find this direction they're going in flat out less interesting than their early material. The prog nature of songs like The Mara Effect will always trump this 3 minute, simplistic, accessible style of metal, at least for me.
For some reason the drumming makes the song unappetizing for me. I just can't get used to it. I love the band, but this song is not for me.
