We cannot altogether avoid painting. For kitchen, bathroom, toilet , back yard , outside we need painting only. Good Painters easily available in small and medium towns also. However, wallpaper is adorous, glorious like jewellery. Can be done for two three roos.

Lots of love from Hindustan. Find the source of moisture and seepage. Rectify the issue to the best possible extent. If can be solved it's best but if not pvc wall panelling is the only good solution. You may have to remove the panels often to remove the fungus for health safety.

Tiles (beginning from Rs 10 sq ft in Delhi) or marbles (beginning from Rs 10 sq ft in Rajasthan) is a much much better option then the wall paper.

First treat the termite. See my video on termite. Than decide . If you are concerned about termite wpc pvc is better but costly.
