Asparagus Crowns | Planting Our Garden 2023 | The ShabinLife
Hey Everyone,
Hope all is well... Here's another quick'ish video from the summer vault collection, lol. Here we're planting 3 types of two year old asparagus crowns... Mary Washington, Purple Pacific & Jersey Knight. Nearly all of three different types have had a few spears pop thru which I did not expect so late in the season, but is certainly a good sign. Not much to planting asparagus as you pretty much dig a fairly deep trench, create a small mound within that trench/hole, spread the asparagus roots over the mound and then simply start backfilling.
