I mean, her "friends" were literally called Hat, Coat, Sock, and Boot, so... not hard to deduce that they were all imaginary in her closet-universe.

Ehh, I missed that as well. In settings like this the names are whimsical as often as they are meaningful :)
Mint saying "Since I lost her" seems to prove this, as it sounds similar to somebody saying they lost a toy.
Mint saying "Tell me where my Lime is!" also proves this theory, as it makes Lime sound like an object.
to be fair, her own name is mint, and if the doll is named after her mother, her name was lime...
To be fair, both of these games had a twist, it just wasn't what we're accustomed to. In the first, everyone is dead, and in the second, no one is real.
my theory on star detective: a little girl (mint) would play with her mother with various toys in a "world" they created, however after the mother died, the only thing the daughter had left was the doll, lime, that the mother would use (possibly even used to be hers previously). In trying to retreat into this world she would pretend lime was just missing, and ask others to help find her lime doll. In helping her to understand grief, her father (star detective, aka vincent) "joins her" in her search to find the missing doll by playing with her in the world the mom and daughter created. this would explain a LOT of what happens in the game.

These games have such a pleasing art style! The character design is also very fun to look at.

Sad Fact: Actual rabbits can suffer from depression because of loneliness or because of deaths within their colony.
When they become deeply distressed, its not uncommon for them to stop eating altogether risking death by starvation.
On a lighter note: Rabbits do like to stroked and cuddled, remembering their owners just as well as dogs do.
so, they are cute games and manly doesn't make any soul jokes today. I'm concerned now.

It's not really clickbait as hunting doesn't always mean killing either. Hunting for a bargain, head hunting for new employees for new employees.. In this case he hunted down the person to be a friend.
The game is also called friend HUNT. If anything the game itself was clickbait
Tongue in cheeck clickbait is still clickbait though, and Manly does that a lot.
Manly's commentary is always humorous with these games.

These were actually really nice games. I know Manly mainly focuses on horror and spooky games, but this was a really nice breath of fresh air and made me feel nice and warm inside

In the second game, I wonder if Vincent is actually a therapist using imagination play to connect with a young child and encourage her to open up so the healing process can begin. The repeated comments about him being a "strange man" might reflect her initial suspicion and unease towards him, which gradually eases as their "adventure" continues. If so, that leaves the story on a definite high note, because it means she's getting proper help and support.

I honestly don't get it. RUclips always recommend me videos of channels I often watch the videos off even if I'm unsubbed. But it also only recommends the stuff from series I often watch.

Edit: the music from the start of the second game is really beautiful and peaceful... With an essence of eternal calm from final fantasy 10 when you reach the calm lands (though it is used in other cutscenes in the same game)
