I really love and respect how Kanami will always shred a lead fill where any other “rock” band would just play chords.💪🏻🤘🏻
One of thousands of things that I love about Band Maid is the way Saiki interacts with the audience. The way she moves her arms and her hands (oh, those beautiful graceful hands). She is able to physically express the song with her body. Sometimes with all of the justified accolades that are poured on the rest of these outstanding instrumentalists, it is easy to leave Saiki out of all of our expressions of respect for our superheroes. When the rest of the band dials it on 11, Saiki is able to dial it up as well, with her voice and makes it look effortless.
@@scottmcgregor562 Saiki brought her dance background with her when she joined the band. She was singing in a backup band and doing professional dancing for the agency when MIKU found her. She has studied the art of movement and knows how to be graceful and elegant. I am a huge fan for sure.

Great Review and Reaction! I feel Band-Maid is the perfect band across the board. It is a rare thing to witness a band that not only have world class musicians at their respective instruments but have the skill to incorporate unusual yet familiar elements to form an interesting dynamic track. The sum of each of those parts become masterfully woven into a memorably catchy song. Better yet the songs holds a genuine and honest quality of a musical artist rather than as an assembled pop group product to be exploited.
Nonetheless, Band-Maid are Artists in the truest sense and should be illuminated and supported! This band should have millions of subscribers rather than the roughly 400 thousand they have now. That's a real crime to have less subscribers than some teenager playing video games. Now that's a real shame!
This song and Real existence were my introduction to Band Maid, but in their albums there are many masterpieces that do not have an MV.
BAND-MAID's awesome song catalogue is so insanely diverse that it can only be described as "TOTAL MAIDNESS".😏

@@WavePotter i can send you a link to those vids in my google drive including the other band : Band Maiko and their cover of "secret my lips" called "secret maiko lips" btw both versions of "puzzle " are fire and totally different feel of the song depending on the live/ full band version or the live acoustic version with only Saiki and Kanami with an acoustic guitar

@Wave Potter "Puzzle", is a song about being left by the one you love for someone else.
Both versions are about the mess of feelings you can live in such a situation. The live version is more anger oriented and acoustic version is more about sadness. Both are amazing.
I can't believe this is your first time with "Domination". Usually that's the first or second tune for reacts. Saiki's vocal range shines in "Manners" towards the end, with regards to going from low to high, gives me chicken skin every time I listen to it. Good react, you're as giddy with Band Maid as I was when I first started listening, good to see that love.

This is the 2nd to last song in a 2 hour concert. They have stamina.
So many people already mentioning Puzzle and i will follow up here... If Kanami had to do an exam to proof that she is a genius songwriter "Puzzle" would be her masterpiece!
There are a lot of special things about for me in this song: It´s the only song i am rating above EVERY other song, everything else is almost the same level... The changes of paces, different riffs, different moods in this song is just out of this world, i´ve never heard something like this before, especially because the flow of the song in itself does not change. The lyrics are heartbreaking and is also one of the best work MIKU did so far! Band-Maid always sounds better live, but "Puzzle" is rising this standard to a new level of AWESOMENESS! Especially that one version, you can SO CLEARLY hear Kanami´s neverending riff changes. On the album version, it´s quiet and you really need to pay a lot of attention to catch it! Last but not least: The "acoustic" version, don´t have to say much about it, it´s angelic and special, because also Kanami is backing up the vocals and it´s just adorable, chilling and SO fitting with SAIKI!
Puzzle will always be my number 1 song. Kanami can continue 30 years with songwriting, i don´t think that´s gonna change for me, it´s THE SONG for me.

You remark on their having fun on stage. When they gather round the Akane they pull faces to try and put her off. Such confidence and charming beyond belief. As a real musician you will understand just how musically accomplished they are. They are just gifted and their live shows are legendary.
Excellent and really interesting analysis - as always! 6:20-6:27 - MISA, Kanami and Miku are playing Hengao - "strange faces" - with Akane, which is making funny faces to try and put someone off. Akane, of course, laughs along while not missing a beat. It shows the ladies' confidence in each others' abilities that they can fool around like this while all of them slam out note-perfect Rock at full tilt. 7:42 -MISA is holding her plectrum in the web of skin between her thumb and finger so she can switch from slapping to picking in half a nanosecond - skills! 12:58 - A brief glimpse of Kanami laying down one of the sweetest rolling patterns ever - pure class. THE best live Rock band on Earth.

band maid is the master of transition its thier signature and mixing genres in a song mind blown ,, since i discovered this band way back 2015 i felt that this band is special, they are different from j-rock band i known...band maid is not a straight forward band its a complex and diverse band and very phenomenal talents,.. miku is a cleaver idealist hands down to miku

Band-Maid had reasonable exsposure in KATE with individual name checks in the credits. They looked and performed to usual high standard on stage and provided the soundtrack for a wild car chase. Worth watching? Yes for the band.

Yeah, I said the same thing when this first came out. Just blown away at the constant momentum that happened at that point. Having watched the entire show (and have it on DVD to watch it over and over), this was one of the best shows ever.

Hello Wave, first of all I wanna thank you very much for constantly keeping up the Band-Maid flag and supporting them.
And as a , maybe unusual, suggestion, I´d like you to give the band "Asterism" a little chance (Songs "Dawn" or "Light in the darkness" on their RUclips page).
A group of fantastic musicians at a very young age who are incredibly good. I´d imagine they´ll be a joy to hear for you as a dedicated "music-man" ;-)
In one interview, Kanami said that Miku can strum faster than she can. It's clear that Miku practices to be excellent at her instrument rather trying to just be a mediocre generalist.
That's impressive that Kanami is saying that!

the camera always miss to shot misa because focusing on other's doing their solo part,
so the point is misa often doing something interesting with others at the same time but the focus is only at one member which is not misa,

Has anyone recommended the live version of 'Don't You Tell Me' yet? Right in the middle of the song is an amazing call and response between MISA and Kanami. A guitar and bass battle of sorts. Plus, amazing drums from Akane. You can find it on the infamous bilibili.

Playing catch up. Just finished the live stream and caught this too. I ALWAYS thought Miku fell down at end of the solo breakdowns, but someone pointed out she actually is just stepping down off the platform. She is, BUT, she's well known to fall, trip and crash into things, so I think its okay ppl still thinking thats what happened
Afterall, it's things like that that build the bands legacy... Next time we'll talk Saiki's lost shoes :)

I think it's more of a slip than a step, hence her laughing. But she doesn't actually fall on her butt as it appears when one first sees it. In the DVD commentary they mention that originally the risers were much higher, so it's good they lowered them (probably due to Kanami's fear of heights?) otherwise Kobato-san could've gotten hurt. (Again.)
Do you know how hard it is for a smaller girl to fall on their butt with a guitar strapped and then get back up and seamlessly play again right after the akane drum solo. On the blu ray you can see her clearly step off the platform and cheer akane on her solo. Miku is known as accident prone but that would have really hurt.

@runningwithscissors you are familiar with stages and the hazards. Can't see how a 100pound girl can fall on her butt without being pinned by the Zemiatis for a bit. And in Japanese Culture the slew of stage hands and roadies would have jumped immediately to the boss's aide.
You should (must) like a maidiac react to puzzle & anemone acoustic live (is the same video), it's amazing to see and hear that they are really talented and as a plus you'll hear kanami singing too.
Also you should react to wonderland for experience an outstanding saiki's voice.
By the way, excellent work as always 👍

Recently, English subtitles for lyrics have been added to many of BAND-MAID songs. For many Japanese, Saiki's Japanese lyrics are only partially audible and English lyrics are incomprehensible. I think BAND-MAID should add Japanese subtitles.

No reactor ever comments when Miku falls down at the end of her little jam out during the instrumental break in the middle of the song.
Most don't notice until you point it out due to all the chaos going on ... then you point it out and they are like ... oh yeah!

If Miku fell on her butt she would have been pinned by the Zemiatis strapped to her chest and unable to continue to play right after Akane short solo. I have the blu ray version. Clearly shows her stepping back and off the riser and then cheering Akane on
Hehe. Gave me an excuse to watch my fav concert. On the blu ray at 1:33:37 you can clearly see Miku step backwards off the platform. She has her right arm raised and her left hand playing a chord with her middle finger raised. A few seconds later after the Akane solo she is playing a sweet riff. My screen shots are available and I can't see where her butt actually touches the floor. Even if you don't want to go by the video the reason most reactors don't notice is that the music is seamless. If Miku fell backwards on her butt she would be pinned for a bit by the Zemiatis. Any musician will tell you how hard it is to get up with a guitar strapped to your chest especially for a small girl. With Miku's bad back issue and being accident prone she would have a slew of roadies and stage hand to help her up.
What I see is Miku stepping backwards off the platform and then her head pops up and back again at 1:33:41 on the blu ray this corresponds to your 8:15 but what I don't see is her butt touching the floor and the music is seamless. The girls are known to sit on platforms, kneel or crouch and cheer others on. Also the blu ray has real time members comments on the audience, lights, sound, what was going on at a particular song. They even mention how high the platforms feel but no mention of falling during what should have been a memorable event.
I guess my issue with all of this is that unless I see Miku's butt actually on the floor my eyes see a different story

Great band. Personally I can’t stand the modern videography where you get split second exposures. The videos of the old rock bands were so much better because you could actually see what’s going on.

I feel for you buddy. Not listening ahead. This reaction was totally Maidiac worthy. Another interesting breakdown. Bob Seger comparison? Cool. The Maids do have fun playing live. Don't they? This band cannot be compared to any other band. Ever. Their uniqueness is beyond compare. Real Existence-Live is still available. MV's Dice, Rinne, Blooming. Bubble. Don't forget the power ballad "Daydreaming" which is already a classic. Peace.

@@jkkansasband7056 Lol ... it's a little dog ;) . He is probably the most famous resident we have here in Orchard Lake. He has a HUGE mansion (18,400 sq ft) that was custom built for him on the lake. I am always afraid the little dog will get lost in there :p .
