I am also born again Christian. But our church is the church of Thyatira. Satan make his full force to make is us like a fool. He deceived us because we don't believe and accept the truth about Jesus.
I noticed every churches tell everyone what wrong with the other, they have part of true but they also under the deception of Satan because they don't believe the all truth.
Satan tactics is he quotes truth but he mix with a lie and that is trong delusion.
My testimony is not the same to you, because I born in born again Christian. A Full Gospel Church. When I receive the promise of Jesus the Spirit of truth no pastors or man lay their hand to me. They try to pray with me to receive the baptism of the fire but they are all failed. But Jesus gave me his promise but no man know that because it is not inside the church and I am alone. while I don't stop and asking why and who really Jesus is. The strange thing happened like he grap me to he bring me to the beginning and I saw how the creation begin. Jesus testify on me that he is the first and he is also the last creation of God, because Jesus said he is the beginning of the creation of God. It means he is the first creation and the last because through him all are created. He teach me also who is the only true God and that is his Father. That is why the Trinity God is his not teaching it only gave the believer a lukewarm faith to him.
By the way Jesus already testified to the churches like he said in Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
Jesus testify who he was and also Jesus testify who is the overcomer and it is in your church.
After a years I read the revelation and after I read the testimony of Jesus to the 7 churches I receive and I hold it tight what his promise to who overcome. And when I read the rev 12 I saw my self in that situation. That is my spiritual birth. I cried it even know I remembered it that is why I make my self busy to not remember my spiritual birth.
I do everything to find Jesus but Jesus found me.
I know my testimony is against to my church but that is the truth. When I found the deception of satan to our church I'm happy but when I try to tell it they think something about me. I just telling my testimony.

i was a JW for over 20 years..basically according to their teaching, there are 3 groups of people..the righteous (who know the will of God and do it); the unrighteous ( who do not know the will or God so do not do it) and the wicked (who know the will of God but refuse or just don't do it). In John 5:28, 29 where it says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous, means the righteous of course are resurrected (to a ressurection of life) and the unrighteous are resurrected so that they will have an opportunity to learn the will of God and do it so they may become righteous.. the wicked are not worthy of a resurrection because they have already received their judgement.. not sure if that clears up any confusion but this is their official teaching.. at least when i was in..i have been out for 8 yrs now.. thankfully..

When I have the opportunity to speak with people from the Kingdom Hall, I ask if they are born again. When they say No, because only 144000 are born again, I refer them to John 3, where Jesus says that unless a person is born again, they can not understand or enter the Kingdom of God. In other words, unless they are born again, they have no place in the Kingdom (and a Kingdom Hall for such people makes no sense). My aim is that these people would believe Jesus rather than the tract society that produces the material they read.

The other thing to do is to look for where the translation is not altered and avoid verses like John 1:1. My suggestion is to use the corresponding verses in the books of Isaiah and revelation that reveal who is Jehovah and then the ones that are similar that are about Jesus and ask them questions firsthand and then follow up with them as you go. I tell Jehovah's Witnesses to go through the narrow gate that is on the cramped road leading to life.
      .
      Matthew 7:13-14
“Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road ** LEADING OFF INTO LIFE ** and few are the ones finding it.
      .
I ask them to read what Jehovah said would happen at the time of the end that is in every Christians bible and yet, few are the ones finding it:
      .
      Isaiah 66:5
Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.”
      .
[Name of person] is no longer one of JEHOVAH's Witnesses ---->> "excluding YOU by reason of MY NAME"
      .
I ask them if they can see Jehovah's promise to disfellowshipped Jehovah's Witnesses:
      .
"He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part"!
      .
I then warn them that, if they go through this narrow gate they will lose their family as a consequence of the Watchtower Societies shunning policies.
      .
Then I ask them to read what Jesus Christ said about everlasting life:
      .
      Mark 10:29-30
Jesus said: “Truly I say to YOU men, No one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news 30 who will not get a hundredfold now in this period of time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and fields, with persecutions, and in the coming system of things ** EVERLASTING LIFE **
      .
I then ask them if they want to live forever.
      .
I also tell them that they can leave the organization and their congregation with dignity by telling everybody that they believe Jehovah, Jesus Christ and everything else in the bible.
      .
Walk out with your head held high and jump for joy when you do.
      .
What Jehovah said would happen, is now really happening!
      .
      That's Good News ................... right!
      .
Jesus said: “Truly I say to YOU men, No one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and FOR THE SAKE OF THE GOOD NEWS.

What's interesting about this passage is that the wicked servant accuses God of reaping and gathering where he has not gathered and God does not reject this accusation at all. It's also interesting that everyone of the servants is given something. Some given more, some less. It's not important how much of a return they make but that they sought a return.
What's the implication here everyone has some revelation of who God is and his word. Some more, some less and God judges us in how we respond to it not on how much has been revealed to us. A person who responds well will naturally end up with more whilst a person who doesn't will discard and bury it

Does the Trinity Doctrine Make Sense or is it Nonsense? Since the Trinity doctrine claims Jesus is also the one God, one must believe that
    • God sent Himself into the world, died to reconcile the world to Himself.
    • Raised Himself from the dead
    • Ascended to Himself in heaven.
    • Pleads before Himself in heaven to reconcile the world to Himself.
    • That he is the only mediator between man and Himself
    • We must believe that Jehovah prayed to Himself, if it were possible, to let the cup pass from Himself.
    Other Absurdities:
    • Jesus is the immortal God but died.
    • Is the invisible God but was seen. Exodus 33:20 But he added: “You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live.”.
    • Is the omnipotent God but was strengthened by an angel.
    • Is the all-knowing God but did not know the day of his return.
    • Is as great as His Father but His Father is greater than He.
    • is equal with the Father and yet He is the Father.
    • Is the Son but the same age as the Father.
    • Is the Son who has a Father and the God who has no Father.
    • Is the begotten Son and the unbegotten God.
    • Prayed to Himself, gave power to Himself.
    • Thanked Himself, bore witness of Himself.
    • Went back to Himself.
    • Sits at the right hand of Himself
    • Is His own Father and His own Son
    • Left Heaven and yet was there all the time.
There are many things which are hard to understand in the Bible, but you can be sure that Jehovah never expects us to believe impossibilities. Repeatedly you hear it said that the Gospel is so simple a child can understand it
And I agree. But how can that be the case with the teaching of the Trinity? Not only do children not understand it, but our best theologians cannot even explain it. However, the thought that God sent His Son to this earth to die for you and me is easy to comprehend when we believe the simple Bible statement that Jesus is truly the Son of God! Not one of three mysterious beings making up “one God.”
How can you possibly believe that Jesus is NOT the begotten Son of the eternal Father and share John 3:16 with others in the hope of inviting them to take part in eternal salvation. Doesn't John 3:16 become a lie the moment you deny He is a Son?
A metaphor did not send a metaphor to save us. A Father sent us His Son to save us.
John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”
2 John 1:3 “There will be with us undeserved kindness, mercy, and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, with truth and love..”
Matthew 8;29 And look! they screamed, saying: “What have we to do with you, Son of God? Did you come here to torment us before the appointed time?”
Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will

Matt, you have a very calming voice; it makes for easy listening. I have a problem though with the term 'works'. There are a number of works defined in the Bible and it can become confusing if we don't acknowledge the distinctions. We too often equate 'works' with being a bad thing, like what the Judaizers were trying to push on the Gentile converts and even upon the Jews who had become Christians, and then think that there are no works required for our inheritance. These 'Judaizers works' were clearly the works associated with the old covenant requirements of ongoing animal sacrifices, circumcision, dietary restrictions, etc. and were anathema to the new covenant under Christ.
I know what you are saying about the evidence of the converted heart, yet the kind of evidence that scripture says that such a heart should portray is sadly lacking in far too many 'Christians'. Even for those who have long been Christians, it is common for laziness to enter in, and they no longer produce the fruit that they once may have. This can show up in many ways - creeping sin, lack of doing the good works we are called to do, etc. - and is not a sign that they were never Christians, but just like the 'parable of the sower', they fail to endure or are in danger of doing so. And the Gospels make it clear that enduring to the end, along with many other conditions (forgiveness, not becoming entangled again in the world, keeping Jesus' commandments, etc,) are an act of our 'free-will' and are just as important to our salvation as having faith is.
We can't lump all 'works' under the same banner. In Romans 8:12/13 and in Gal. 6:7/8, Paul very directly warns the 'brethren' (born-again believers) that the fleshly side of us all must not be indulged and that by the Spirit's help, we must put our sinful natures to death or else we will not receive the promised inheritance. These multiple warnings are not to 'fake Christians'! They are to real Christians living in a fallen world who struggle daily to overcome and live as the scriptures call us to, and if we are not diligent in our study life, prayer life and practice of the truth, then we can succumb to the sinful nature and become 'do nothing Christians'. (I know because I was once there and only by God's grace and me saying 'yes Lord', am I restored.)
Salvation is not a one-time thing. It is indeed initiated by a one-time act of faith through confession/profession of belief, but it is a path that we then begin to walk where the 'sanctification' we are sealed with by the Spirit molds us more and more to be like Christ, if, that is, we are willing vessels (free-will). We can fall off of that path, but we can also get right back on it. And if we are struggling with something yet being honest with our repentance before God, He will honor that honesty by helping us and preserving our life as we work to overcome. But, if our repentance is not truly genuine, then we make a grave mistake to think that God is ok with that. Our, "Forgive me", was never intended to be a 'get-out-of-jail-free' card that can be used over and over again with no real effort and progress towards the putting away of our sinful practices. Do not be deceived - what we do after becoming born-again matters a great deal as to whether we receive the salvation set aside for us. Either both of those above passages shouldn't be in the Bible, or they are saying loud and clear that 'once-saved-always-saved' (OSAS) is at the least a misinterpretation or at worst a lie from the pit that has mislead many.

I spoke to my (Baptist) pastor about this once and he said I was right. If Ephesians 2:8-9 says our salvation is not of works then we also cannot do works that will lose our salvation. The Bible clearly says it's "not of works" so you can't gain it or lose it based on your works.

2:23 It is a bogus question. Now is the time to respond to the Good News. Beyond that, God and His Son are the judges of if you had an appropriate chance to respond or not, and can see all the factors involved. There are no magic word or declarations that "saves" people.
I would say it is in God's hands at that point.
4:25 No, it is not similar for 2 reasons. 1) Jesus is an actual judge of who lives and who dies.
    2) Jesus said this: John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
Or as Acts 25:15 says: (Acts 24:15) And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Ones who did not have a sufficient opportunity, for whatever reason, will receive a resurrection and have that opportunity to display faith in Jesus.
*Bonus* 3) Jesus was not in paradise that day, as he was dead for parts of 3 days. Your translators place the comma in the wrong place.

Hello again. Salvation is as simple as believing in Jesus Christ. I'll go through the scriptures you quoted and after that, you can comment on the ones I quoted.
Luke 13:24 can be compared to Mat. 7:13,14 where there's many on the wide road, which means you are in opposition of the majority, so Luke signifies a great struggle against conflict.
Jesus was not suggesting that one could merit salvation by striving for it that would be a contradiction in scripture. Read Mat. 7:21-23 and notice all the GOOD things those people were doing to merit salvation, that was some VERY good WORKS . Yet Jesus said I never knew you.
Salvation is solely by Grace AKA ( don't miss this next word) UNDESERVED kindness, not by WORKS, not from YOURSELVES ( that takes one completely out of the equation) ( Eph.2:8,9; Rom.4:4,5)
Now about James 2:26. In James 2:23 James quoted Gen. 15:6 which says Abraham put faith in Jehovah, and it ( faith) was counted to him as righteousness. The WORK that James said justified Abraham was his offering up of Isaac ( Gen. 22:9,12) an event that occurred MANY YEARS AFTER, he first exercised faith and was declared righteous before God. ( Gen. 12:1-7;15:6) So Abraham was declared righteous WITHOUT doing any WORKS.
James' teaching perfectly complements Paul's writings; salvation is determined by faith ALONE. ( Eph. 2:8,9) and demonstrates by faithfulness to OBEY God alone.( Eph.2:10)
Now to show how simple it is to get saved, all one has to do is , first you must HEAR the Good News message ( which is 1 Cor.15:1-4) and BELIEVE it, then you are SEALED with the Holy Spirit. ( Eph.1:13) Once you are SEALED, you are sealed UNTIL the day of redemption. ( Eph.4:30) Aka once saved always saved.
Now before you go to throwing out a bunch of scriptures, make SURE you read the CONTEXT, because scriptures do NOT CONTRADICT each other.

I hear this strange scenario many times. But you ran into the wrong Jehovah's Witness. Let this Jehovah's Witness clarify you on this subject.
You ask if a person had 3 minutes to live, what can he do to be saved. The answer is there is absolutely nothing that a person can do to be saved in 3 minutes. This is absolutely ridiculous and you are making a mockery of Jehovah and the ministry of Jesus. There is no magic words that a person needs to hurry up and say, so that he can be saved. And Jesus never, ever taught such foolishness in his ministry. Jesus plainly said that the one who does the Will of his Father is the one who will be saved. Matt.7:21 Not the one who hurries up and say some magic words, before he dies. Salvation is not depended on saying some magic words.
And the men who died with Jesus were not saved. Jesus never, ever, said that they were saved. Jesus said that they, and I mean both of them, will be with him in paradise. You see, if you knew anything about the Millennial reign of Jesus, (Which apparently, you dont) then you would know who will be resurrected there and who will benefit from it. Jesus said that all those in the tombs will hear his voice and come out. John 5:28,29 And that includes the men who died with Jesus and anyone else who you think needs to say some magic words before they died. Acts 24:15 also says that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous. And the men who died with Jesus will be of the unrighteous ones who will be resurrected into the Millennial reign of Christ. They will be resurrected back to the earth, and there they will get their first, not second, real opportunity at everlasting life.
And there, they will be taught and guided by Jesus to salvation. If they and billions of others respond favorably to the message that will be preached by Jesus during that time, and shows acts of repentance and start living a Godly life and do the Will of God, then they put themselves in line to be saved, if and when they do not follow the devil when he is released at the end of the Millennial reign. and they survive the Second death. It will be at that time that they can say that they are saved. Not 3 minutes before death because they said some magic words. The bible says that the knowledge of Jehovah will cover the earth as the waters covers the seas. This will be the message that Jesus will teach during the Millennial reign. And this will be mankind's first real opportunity at salvation. Because during this time, those who do the Will of God will not have to die and hope for a resurrection. But they will continue to live forever in this Paradise that Jesus talked about to the evildoer who died with him. And this opportunity is not just for those who have never heard the message about God. Because even for many people who have heard the message, they were not able to apply it to their lives to the extent as they will be able to do during the Millennial reign.
And this is the good news that Jesus said would be preached to the World as Jehovah's Witnesses are doing in this time of the end. And this is indeed good news. Jesus did not tell anyone to hurry up and say some magic words before they died so that they can be saved. And Yes, we are saved by Grace. But that doesn't mean that we do not have to do anything to be saved. We still have to show God by our works and are willingness to do his Will, that we want him to be our God for all eternity. Faith without works is dead. And I might add, saying some magic words without works to back them up, is also dead.

There’s no “second chance resurrection.” This is one of many clearly false teachings from The Watch Tower. (Heb 9:27).

And you have absolutely no understanding when the bible says that faith without works is dead. And you say nothing about the Millennial reign of Christ and what will happen there. You make God out to be some silly person who will let anyone who says some magic words to go to heaven and reign with Christ. Because the only persons who go to heaven are those who will reign with Jesus. Rev.20:4,6
And what exactly do you think will happen during the Millennial reign if everyone is judged as to where they will spend eternity, based on what they did in this present life. If that were the case, then there would be no need for the Millennial reign. And all of those people who never even heard of Jesus or Jehovah or read a bible, are just out of luck.
And now do you see why Jesus did not choose your faith to preach this good news of the kingdom to the world. Because you have no concept of what the good news is. What you are teaching is NOT good news for the majority of people who are alive today and for those whom have died.

They don't know the verses because it's not important to them that you are saved. It is THEIR salvation that they are working for when they are spreading the propaganda and lies of the Watchtower. They are not taught to make deciples. They are taught to be deciples of the Watchtower.
I almost cried last time I had a couple at my door, because I wanted to know how can you be saved? - I got the same answer as you did. But as usual it's not thought through and internalized, it's just something they learnt to say and think. They said at one point they were doing much better than the church, because "at least we give out flyers in person and not just in your mailbox". I then pressed the one that talked (coz it's only one that talks when they come at your door usually here), then how can I know I am saved?
You can't, he said. There is no way to know. You just gotta do the works he is telling us and have the hope that it's been good enough.
Their end-times teaching is all over the place, it's not biblical at all. Not even according to their own perverted translation.
I really DO LOVE the JWs tho. I have failed many times in conversation with them tho, because it's so easy to get upset with them when they are not giving you ONE SINGLE STRAIGHT ANSWER and it feels like they twist inside out my own words. The reality is that they aren't listening to what you are saying when it comes to theological matters. What I've found to be way more successful is to talk to them about their personal histories. How they became witnesses etc. What is their story? Who is it really that I have before me at my door when you strip away the automatic propaganda spreading machine called JW?
One lady came at me straight up and told me she became a witness because of the lack of love among those that claimed to be the church when she was young. That she came to them because she found comfort in the fact that they believe in annihilation. Why? Because her dad had died when she was 13 (iirc) and he was not a believer she said. And everyone around her told her that her dad was now in hell. She as a 13 year old girl could not bear the thought of that, so she left that faith, and was found by JW who told her to not worry, because her dad wasn't in hell, he was just no more, which was sad, but not horrifying as eternal torment, flames and brimstone and all that the others said he was experiencing.
This is TRAGIC. Because I have found that either they have been in the organization their whole lives and just grew up in it and stayed there (you know there are horrible reasons for them being stopped from thinking too much on their own - like the shunning and their internal justice system), or it's preying on people in a bad situation. Extremely few people just walk in and become a member of their organization because they made an informed choice about believing their theology and not someone elses.
I also talked to one on the phone during covid. He got angry with me for asking questions. I told him, dude, there's no need to be angry, and he was like - nooooo nooo I'm not angry. He was. :).
I don't know. The very best way I can describe some of the conversations with them is like having a conversation with a mix of a human and an NPC.

It requires the Holy Spirit to enable them to understand. All we can do is plant the seeds that in time may set them free. We can also pray that they will remember what we shared, and that it will bother them. This works--I've seen it. To go along with my post below this one, some people like to believe in *once saved always saved.* The Bible never indicates this, but consistently shows we must keep faithful, and keep our integrity if we are to benefit from Jesus' ransom sacrifice.
Jesus said this: (Matthew 24:13) But the one who has endured to the end will be saved.
Is this true, and what he actually meant?
Notice: (Hebrews 3:14) For we actually become partakers of the Christ only *if* we hold firmly down to the end the confidence we had at the beginning.
Logically, *if* we do not hold firm, then the conclusion should be obvious.
Coupled with this fact: (James 2:26) Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
    With a live faith, with works that are good, God, through His word, the Bible, says this: Rom2:6 And he will pay back to each one according to his works: 7 everlasting life to those who are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibleness by endurance in work that is good;

It never made sense for Ray Comfort to use it for many years and it still doesn't make sense today. Nothing any human can say will ensure with any guarantee such a person will be resurrected. The judging is Jehovah and Jesus who will read their heart and if they are in the memorial tomb then they are remembered and will receive a resurrection.

      It makes 100% sense.
      You’ve missed the entire point.
It’s not about a human ensuring anything! It’s about preaching a message that can lead to the salvation of a person if they exercise faith. A person can have true faith in Christ, in their final moments, and be saved.
The theology in your comment is incorrect. You misinterpret the verse about the resurrection!
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, (Hebrews 9:27)

@lionoffireraw No it doesn't make sense. Here's why What is the culmination of that message supposed to do? Save right? Yet one you don't believe JW's and many others don't have the truth the message is of no consequence as to you it's a false gospel, two, get saved to go where Certainly not heaven as no biblical get around clause of John 3:3 and three, it's based on the criteria God and his Christ will use to judge
You say "a message that can lead to the salvation of a person if they exercise faith." What does *exercise* mean to you?
You say "A person can have true faith in Christ, in their final moments, and be saved" What message are you preaching in such a short time that you can guarantee any person accepting will be saved?
I certainly didn't misquote Hebrews 9:27 as it was not mentioned or referenced. Jesus your God said "Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice" ESV Therefore only those God has chosen to remember will be ressurected
Why you have included Heb 9:27 I don't know, however, it is inescapable to avoid the death brought on by Adam's inherited sin therefore "appointed (apokeimai reserved for one, awaiting him) for man to die once" but when he dies again it is through Judgement through ones own action though knowing God's will. Isaiah 65:20 is a prophecy which states "but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed" (KJV) and verse 22 the promise to live like the "days of a tree" is the promise of a long life, if one is obedient or the former will happen.

JW do not read daily and systematically the Bible, because they they are busy in reading all the literature from the WT.
They memorize isolated verses and explain them through the lens of the WT doctrine!
Since, I dropped their literature and systematically studied the Bible, the veil was lifted and I understood that Jesus is as much God as the Father. He is thereby worth our worship like the Father! I began as well doing communion with Him.
When I discovered that we are being lied to, I cried for 3 days. I begged Jesus in tears to forgive me for being blind! In the meanwhile, I wondered, how on Earth am I going to convince my family members and others!? Despite the evidence of the Scriptures, they won’t hear unless, it comes from the WT or the organisation! That is how bad, it is!The only hope I have left is Devine intervention through supplication prayers, supplication and fasting! So, help me Jesus!

WHAT IS THE GRACE OF GOD?
IT IS THE MERCY OF GOD
HOW DO YOU RECEIVE HIS MERCY? BY BELIEVING IN HIS SON?
HOW DO YOU BELIEVE IN HIS SON IF YOU NEVER MEET HIM?
BY DOING THE COMMANDMENTS OG GOD
WHAT ARE THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD?
    THE 10 COMMANDMENTS
NO ONE TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THRU CHRIST
AND NO ONE COME TO CHRIST EXCEPT THE FATHER DRAW HIM TO CHRIST
    CHRIST SAID ...
    Matt 7:21 (KJV)
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
TO RECEIVE GOD GRACE (MERCY) YOU HAVE TO DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER
IF YOU SIN WITHOUT THE LAW THEN YOU WILL PERISH WITOUT THE LAW AND IF YOU SIN HAVING THE LAW THEN YOU WILL BE JUDGE BY THE LAW
GOD IS LOVE BUT HE IS ALSO A RIGHTEOUS JUDGE
AND BECAUSE HE IS LOVE DOESN'T MEAN DOESN'T KILL THE WICKED
THE GOD THAT LOVE HAVE TO HAVE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT AGAINST EVIL PEOPLE
THE 10 COMMANDMENT IS STILL IN EFECT EVEN IF YOU ARE TAUGHT THAT THEY ARE NOT
NO ONE REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH GOD LOVE US ... THE HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON SO THAT WE MAY BELIEVE IN HIM AND IN HIS SON BUT AT THE SAME TIME EVERYONE WILL BE RESURRECT AND JUDGE ... THOSE WHO DO GOOD TO

Your teaching is based on Calvinism.
    1. Perseverance of the Saints:
    • Calvinism teaches that those who are truly elected by God and saved will persevere in faith until the end. This is based on the idea that salvation is solely the work of God, and what God begins, He will complete This assurance of perseverance implies that true believers will continue to grow in holiness and produce good works as evidence of their salvation.
    2. Sanctification:
    • Sanctification is the process by which believers are gradually made more holy through the work of the Holy Spirit. According to Calvinist doctrine, this process is inevitable for those who are truly saved. Thus, the production of good fruits, or evidence of a transformed life, is a natural outcome of true faith and salvation.
I call this backloading the Gospel.
"Back-loading the gospel" refers to the idea of introducing works or human effort into the gospel message, not at the front end (as a requirement for salvation), but subtly, at the back end. This typically means that while one might initially preach salvation by grace through faith alone, there is an implicit or explicit addition that true believers must demonstrate their faith through certain behaviors or good works to confirm their salvation. This can be seen as a form of legalism where works are added as a necessary proof of genuine faith, thus undermining the purity of the gospel of grace.
Here are the key aspects of "back-loading the gospel":
    1. **Initial Presentation**:
    - The gospel is presented as salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, without the requirement of works to earn salvation.
    2. **Subsequent Expectations**:
    - After one professes faith, there is an expectation or requirement that believers must produce certain good works or live in a specific manner to confirm or validate their salvation.
    3. **Theological Implications**:
    - This can lead to confusion and anxiety among believers, who might begin to question their salvation based on their performance rather than trusting in Christ's finished work.
    - It risks shifting the focus from Christ's sufficiency in salvation to the believer's ongoing efforts, thus subtly implying that grace alone is not sufficient.
    4. **Comparison with Biblical Teaching**:
    - The Bible teaches that salvation is by grace through faith apart from works.
    5. **Calvinism and Assurance**:
    - In Calvinism, the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints emphasizes that true believers will persevere in faith and good works as a result of God's grace, not as a prerequisite or proof to maintain salvation.
In essence, back-loading the gospel distorts the message of grace by subtly reintroducing a form of works-righteousness. Salvation rests solely on the finished work of Christ and is received by faith alone.

    • @lionoffireraw
      @lionoffireraw  2 месяца назад +1

No, I’m not a Calvinist. There is a difference.
No, this is not “backloading.” That’s a made up term.
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone. When a person exercises true saving faith, they are born again. When a person is born again, this produces a transformation. The works that come from this transformation are NOT meritorious of salvation in ANY way, but rather are the evidence of the born-again experience.

    • @steveblurton5185
      @steveblurton5185 2 месяца назад +1

@@lionoffireraw how do you determine if someone is saved?
What works must someone do to show that they are saved?
"Backloading the gospel" is a term used primarily within evangelical Christian circles, often in debates about the nature of salvation and works. It generally refers to the idea of subtly introducing works as a requirement for salvation after initially presenting salvation as a free gift of grace through faith. This concept is often criticized because it can undermine the doctrine of justification by faith alone, making salvation contingent upon human effort.
      ### Origins and Usage
      1. **Debates on Grace and Works**: The term emerges from theological discussions, particularly among Protestant evangelicals, about the proper relationship between faith and works. It is often used to critique views that, while affirming salvation by grace, suggest that certain behaviors or works are necessary to maintain or prove one's salvation.
      2. **Key Theological Contexts**:
      - **Reformed Theology**: Within Reformed circles, there is a strong emphasis on salvation by grace alone through faith alone. "Backloading the gospel" is used to guard against any suggestion that works play a role in securing or proving salvation.
      - **Free Grace Movement**: This movement argues for a clear distinction between faith and works in the salvation process. They emphasize that works are not necessary for salvation but are a result of genuine faith. They often use the term "backloading the gospel" to criticize teachings they see as conflating justification (being declared righteous by faith) with sanctification (the process of becoming holy).
      ### Biblical Basis and Theological Concerns
      - **Justification by Faith Alone**: Critics of "backloading the gospel" often point to key scriptural passages such as Ephesians 2:8-9 ("For by grace you have been saved through faith... not a result of works") and Galatians 2:16 ("a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ").
      - **James 2:14-26**: This passage, which discusses faith and works, is often central to the debate. It asserts that "faith without works is dead," which some interpret as meaning that genuine faith naturally produces good works, without suggesting that works are a condition for salvation.
      ### Contemporary Concerns
      - **Maintaining the Purity of the Gospel**: The main concern with "backloading the gospel" is that it might distort the simplicity and purity of the gospel message, which proclaims salvation as a free gift of God's grace, not dependent on human performance.
      - **Pastoral and Evangelistic Implications**: In pastoral and evangelistic contexts, there is a need to clearly communicate that while good works are the fruit of salvation, they are not a precondition or a means to secure it. This ensures that individuals understand the gospel as the unconditional good news it is meant to be.
In summary, "backloading the gospel" is a critique of any theological stance that seems to reintroduce works as necessary for salvation after initially presenting it as solely based on grace through faith. It is a concept rooted in the Protestant emphasis on justification by faith alone and aims to preserve the gospel's integrity by keeping the focus on Christ's completed work rather than human effort.

Colosians 2:11-14 says: In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. Sounds like you did a great job and really gave him a pebble in the shoe, so to speak. Definitely JWs don't learn about Ephesians 2:8-9 from Watchtower because it so completely contradicts what they are taught to believe. Keep him in your prayers, and pray he will encounter more Christians who continue to witness to him. God bless!

I was raised as a JW and my dad was an elder. I remember asking the exact same question a number of times and it NEVER made sense. I used to say, "aren't we actually ruining more people's chances to be saved by knocking on doors?" Somehow the answer was "no." It always bothered me😂

The problem is that they're brainwashed into believing that any kind of criticism/questioning against what they believe is persecution, which is confirmation that they are correct. It's complicated but that's what is drummed in. This is what leads to these confusing, circular arguments or arguments where they seem to constantly change their minds and not make any sense.
The ones who will listen are the ones who already have certain nagging doubts. The governing body has been warning people against this as well for a while. "Do not become an apostate!" "Do not speak to apostates!" "Satan uses XYZ to trick you into losing your faith and you will not let that happen!"
Talking to JWs can be so difficult that I've personally given up. That doesn't mean everyone else should though. I'm glad you brought this topic up because I've not heard it mentioned enough
