I've got to say, I'm mighty impressed that (a) these guys are all still around, and (b) they actually still sound as good as they sounded in the '60s and '70s when I was a kid. Excellent!

I was seeing the quartet for the first time after listening to them for 2 decades on radio and tapes. I took photos with each one of them which I value very much now that some of these men of God are no more.

Not quite, but they were the Heralds during the sixties. The Heralds originated as the LONE STAR FOUR in 1927, then came on board with H.M.S.Richards and VOP about 1935. The name was changed to The King's Heralds then.. Thurber was with them about 61 to 67, and Bob Edwards from about 1947 until the seventies.
My grandpa is the first tenor! :) Bob Edwards. This is my favorite song of theirs.
