Unfortunately, this may be a publicity stunt in order to get a better public image for thier new game coming soon. Deadlock.
We've already seen how they treat their current online multiplayers.

Renaming the game is a interesting idea, Team Fortress: Forever sounds like a pretty cool idea and id be totally up for that change as it would make the game feel fresh
