The Yeti literally cracked the foundation it's attached to and it's structure is integrated so much with the track and other structures that they would literally have to take apart the entire ride to fix it. Something the Imagineers are on record saying will never happen purely on a cost perspective.
They will never be able to fix it to the original functionality. The engineering of the structure itself is fundamentally flawed, and the cost to fix it is just too much.
