So hyped for Cata already 🎉 At first when the whole ”classic” was announced back then, i did not plan to play cata. I only thought about the first 3. And then to quit. But since i started to remember and looking back at Cata, I thought to myself.. ” I remember that overall i actually really liked Cata and now Im looking forward for the nostalgia once again 🎉🎉❤😊
Hunter is no: 1 for making comps work. Some other great mentions that cover tons of buffs at once: Ret, the 3% damage buff; your mages will likely want to go fire and SV does more damage than BM in both single target and AoE. It is clearly the optimal choice to cover that buff. Plus they bring the 10% attack power buff, replenishments, mp5 buff, their auras, and having things like hand of sac and lay on hands in a 10 man where you can only rez ONCE is a godsend. I also like Ele for comps: 5% crit, one of only three specs that can provide 5% spell haste, the big 10% spell power buff (Demo is the only other one that can provide it), covers lust if you don't have a mage, can customize buffs depending on comp like either providing str/agi or devo aura with stoneskin (no longer stacks; frees up pallies to use other useful auras), can cover mp5 if you don't have both a druid and pally, etc. If you pair SV, Ret, and Ele you are only missing 7 things: mark of the wild (2nd Pally could also cover), Stamina (priest or warrior), b rez (druid/warlock/dk), armor debuff (rogue/warrior/druid) 3% bleed (feral/sub/arms), 8% magic debuff (warlocks/balance/unholy/assassination), and the 4% physical buff (combat/frost/arms). Your SV hunter can cover any one of them except the stam buff, armor debuff, and b rez. Hard not to make a comp off of that which covers everything; plus all 3 deal great damage to boot.
I'm excited to dive back into the Arcane Mage. I really liked the Burst / Recovery and Conservation phase balance. I loved that in BGs, you were just a turret and if left even a bit alone, you could delete people. I only played the end of the Expac the first time around and I want to experience the whole of it this time!
im excited to see what the classes I skipped out on back in the day play like, Loved my hunter, lock and war back then but this time around I'm trying out priest, mage, and dk
one more* reason that the buffs may have been homogenized is the scrapping of the Path of the Titans system. I strongly suspect that many raid buffs were meant to be unlocked through that system and available to any class. Once that system had to be pruned, they had to roll in the buffs into the classes themselves. I think it's a shame we'll never see Path of the Titans; it would've fulfilled the "bring the player, not the class" goal they had while also avoiding homogenizing the classes themselves. That said I still feel like classes have unique interactions in Cataclysm. Back in retail Cata, my raid group had two warriors (including myself). To survive particularly difficult raid damage we'd string together two rallying cries back-to-back and that was honestly integral for us beating certain encounters.
someone can tell me does buff etc in cata are like vanilla we need to be in the same raid group to have buff from active/passive spell of class or does buff are spread to the entire raid ?

there is a small slightly noticeable ringing sound in your mic, might want to check that out. once i noticed it, it started to really stand out in my ears

@josedavidmunozmartinez4722 Glad to have your support. I held multiple realm first raiding achievements and multiple rank 1 classes in original cataclysm. Though I had a great deal of success in the expansion, it was in my opinion one of the worst expansions. To me cata and wod are on par. Regardless of opinion, big shout out to Scottejaye. I hope he keeps making fabulous content for so many people who never had the opportunity to bathe in the bloat of cataclysm. Maybe we can see a SoD cataclysm...

@temper1776 high tier arenas was relying on pve item procs or hour long fights. The best part of cata was the raid scene. Even the first half of dragon soul was pretty good. Airship was pretty decent too. Spine..... and the 12 minute bs that was madness of deathwing was just terrible. Tol barad was a joke. Go back and watch the videos of arena and rbgs. Then tell me how good arena was when you ran into God comp and spent a literal minute not playing your character.
PvE trinkets and 2part sets were only in a11. In a9 and a10 there were only minor items with demand of hard pve efforts. 20 minutes fights were only in 2v2 if you had bad comp or played below 2200.
I think people will be surprised. All the people who don't like the slow grind of Vanilla will be coming back from Retail to give it a try. It's a lot more like Sentimental Retail than "Hardcore Classic Purists". And no matter the Classic copium, there's a lot more Retail players than classic only.

@@fuka9676 nah at the time I was playing sod so if you looked up any videos for wow sod it would pop up with retail videos even though you didn't look up anything to do with cata. I had took anything to do with wow off suggested videos now. Just time to quit and do real life stuff.

Cata brought with it some of the best raid content of all time, the overworld revamp was actually refreshing when it came out and the linear levelling was generally well received if people take raid finder out of there minds and look at all the good cata brought with it they would have much fonder memories of the expansion
The world revamp did it for me. Most newbie areas are a pain and the storyline went bipolar. Honestly I flat out hated it and have no plans to play it. With that said, I hope all 27 of the cata hype bros have an amazing time running 10 mans in retail lite.
