You have the patience of a saint, sorting through all that media. 😊 Well worth it though. Love the Tempest. You are correct about the bulb. The oils on our skin ruin the bulb. Nice video of the fish. Yeah, do a "live" when you get there. That will be fun. Great update!!! Congratulations Richard on winning the mug 🎉

The new taps seem to make a huge difference to the Tempest.
I’m sure someone said in an older video that EA were replacing those taps free of charge.
You may have needed to have the receipt though. 🤔🤷🏼♂️

The taps definitely alot better abit stiff but might just need waring in. I didn't no EA was replacing them 🙈 either way £16 not too bad
@@scotthendersonKoiAndHawks Hi Scott, just looked back, and it was actually Danny who did a video on it about 7 months ago.
They were changing them over to the new valve/tap free of charge, but only if it was still under warranty etc.
Yeah, sounds like a worthwhile £16….. 👍🏼

Hi Scott. I've heard that heavy lime content can form on the biofilm on the media making it more dense and causing it to sink. People have had that problem in the Nexus and drum bio chambers. And used brick acid to remove it. The grease and oil off your fingers causes hot spots on your bulb, like car head lamp bulbs etc. The bulbs get hot spots and the bulb can overheat and can blow. Just for now can you use some sinking food in your tank, so the others get a chance?

A other great update on your pond and the projects you have been doing around the pond mate did you find a black cover for your tempest mate if you don't get one then I suggest you cover with some sliver foil mate because soon has we will be getting the summer and it will go green mate. Has for the grow on fish I would like to see a nice goshiki mate I did what app in the week about what mug I have got mate I don't think you read my message mate.
