Turkiye is a great country and no matter who wins the election, we must maintain a good relationship. We cannot afford to lose our relationship with them PERIOD end of story. Anyone in our country (US) who thinks otherwise is incredibly misinformed and delusional. Just look at the map. Without Turkiye, Nato cannot survive. By the way, if we close all doors and contact with Russia, we are doomed. President Erdogan has kept those doors open. Let's also not forget that Turkiye took in many refugees from Syria and has been impacted by it. We need to pay close attention to our relationship with this country and stop being overly simplistic in our understanding of the real world of geopolitics. As far as internal politics in Turkiye, that is for their people to decide, not anyone else.
