You know what'd be cool? If during the day you opened the back of a van or like a cabinet, and suddenly a volatile pops out of it and runs away from you. You know how you see them jumping out of vans and stuff around at night? They obviously hide in those during the day.
That is a terrible idea the reason I don’t go out at night is volatiles why would the players want them running around at day at the start of the game where you run from volatiles I spent 2 hours building up the courage to just run away from them and I cant build up the courage after 2 days to get the sample of those fast scared green zombies because those volatiles im too much of a pussy and this is the only game that im scared of no other games scare me like dying light Stop replying to me I can oneshot volatiles
This looks phenomenal. The new dialogue is a massive improvement - even Crane's grumbling on the radio tower. Rais sounds a lot less like a cartoon villain. My inner loot goblin is itching to get at those diversified materials and become the hoarder queen of Harran all over again. Enemies are an actual threat and need to be treated with respect. The level grind is made more substantial (which is a good thing for someone like me, who unlocks legend before even leaving the Slums). I'd love to play this one day, this looks (and sounds) amazing, especially as DL2 wasn't really my cup of tea.
Same! I enjoy dying light so much, me and my buddy caleb have hundreds of hours together, and more solo or with other friends. But dying light 2 wasn’t really for us, a great game sure but just not my thing.
The only problem i have with this mod is how extremely challenging this is compared to vanilla Nightmare Mode , even the easiest mode (Night Runner Mode) is way more harder than ever. Maybe add the 4 modes from the vanilla game so others can enjoy the story because i really like the new dialogues. Really good mods tho.

It's just a shame we don't have the option to play it on a slightly lower difficulty, as, while it looks cool, I'm sorry but 4 hits to the BRAIN CASE using a MASSIVE STEEL HAMMER is gonna be enough to kill el generico zombino. There's no balance behind 4-headshot kills, that just seems like they took the damage sliders, cranked received up and dealt down HARD. That's not difficulty, that's frustration.
The edits in this video are fly asf! The description of everything and the overall mod literally got me to reinstall this game after I beat the second game 8 times and the first game 3 to its fullest. DL1 is still the best out of both games tbh. Great vid and thanks for allowing more people to see how good of a mod this is
I tried Night Runner, but I soon discovered I was spending way too much time in the menus. DL has too much menu time, but Nighty Runner definitely upped it with so much new junk to loot and manage.
my main way of playing Dying light now is with this mod it's amazing, I also liked to get the dev menu with it so i can change the weather and time to make cool cinematic feels
This reminds me of a mod someone else made, might actually be the same person just under a different name. It was called deathcore, but it was just made by ONE person who was in college, so it kind of went into development hell. It's basically this, but *this* is more fleshed out and better. Don't know what ever happened to deathcore tho
It is indeed made by the same guy who made Deathcore. Deathcore was put on ice because all the files and changes got messed up because Techland updated Hellraid.
Half of my playtime has gone to playing this nightrunner mod. It is definitely better than vanilla. Sometimes tho I wonder if I should go back JUST because of the difficulty lol.
I think I like it so far, but man, ain't it grindy (and I usually don't mind grinding in DL). Maybe it's the (initial?) combat stamina - you run out of breath before you can bash one zombie head in - and you need to do a lot of bashing to level up. I am on the fence about the item variety. On one hand, it's nice to have more stuff to look out for - on the other it does feel like busy work sometimes. I need to play more to decide.

Man... I wish I had the PC version of the game so I could mod it but I don't want to buy it again and I already have it on the PS4. Unfortunately, I don't think you can mod it on a PS4 on a TV. Sad... This would be my first mod for the game. At least I have Skyrim on PC! That's highly moddable with Nexus, except SKSE broke it and crashes the game every time I wanna play it.
I can kind of understand why Cranes dialogue was cut, judging by the provided examples. It's not exactly enjoyable having someone cynically passive aggressive stuck in your ear for an entire campaign. I mean some of his dialogue is funny, but mostly it's the mood that'd irritate you.
Comments and thought processes like this are why developers are forced to limit and restrict their characters and stories from having unique and different personalities. Remember back when game developers thought gamers wanted mostly silent protagonists so people could "project" themselves into the game? Comments like this are exactly why developers did that, because they thought people found protagonists having any kind of personality to be "annoying". Those people are idiots. Please stop complaining about things that don't make any logical sense to conplain about, stop censoring things unnecessarily for no reason.
Despite my constant bitching, I do think the mod is good. Maybe the other difficulties are less grindy, but I'll never find out because I am the cause of my own downfall ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wish there was an option to restore the dialogs only. I love DL the way it is, but those cut dialogs, as an optional mod would be great.

I played it, its horribly unbalanced enemies deal bs damage by just touching you. Its hard just to be hard its not even fun
It would be cool if you could have a chance of getting rewarded with keys for certain types of cars by helping survivors.
