It’s insane to me they would remove easter egg weapons but keep dlc ones
Some Easter Egg items are super broken in BTZ, and only a handful of DLC items are broken, which have been banned (like Your First Pipe and Inmate Rifle).
@@AussieGG still kind of encourages a pay to win style even if by a slight advantage

“Sounds like a skill issue.” Is basically all this update was. Happy with the changes though, hope we get more but knowing techland and how much they dislike touching the PvP we will just have to wait and see.

I am very much enjoying the update, and despite almost everyone else hating it, I enjoy hellraid and am glad they're still updating it

Yeah since it's basically almost like skyrim but with awesome parkour and a hint of dark souls since it's pretty hard to do it by yourself on Nightmare difficulty

At first I thought that this update did something to Singleplayer of Dying Light but then I realized it's just the pvp mode that I don't even bother playing. Was worried for a second

Damn i was waiting for this for what feels like a decade. Now all they have to do is allow night hunters to crouch under the drop kick the way humans can vault over the tackle
once a human dropkicks you, wait to see if they spam it, if they do it twice in a row immedietly tackle them (tackle cancels out dropkick and gains a free tackle) then repeat tackling until they stop, I usually get around 3-4 free tackles on petty dropkick spammers this way.

@@Godslayer4000 "it's meant to be there" then they would've told you how to get out of that, it was plaguing the online for ever when it came out because who would've thought to do something like that? No a feature would be a clear animation to dodge it, not quickly trying to glitch it
Bad news for anyone who hates insta hive kill flares. People already got a workaround so they can use ANY blacklisted item(inf flare inf uv last wish)im trash at pvp and have noone to get good tips from plus all these bs modded items it's pain :(
Yeah was playing as night hunter and the survivors were you insta flairs on my nest, so annoying. Then I played as a survivor then a night hunter with infinity shield and a melee weapon joined and kept one shotting me. On ps4 btw
I dunno how I feel about it. The changes mostly seem good, but it's seriously meta re-defining. It would have been nice for them to have done this sooner, or at least more gradually. Dying Light's losing relevance, and half the people in pvp are extreme veterans with thousands of hours... thousands of hours into muscle memory that just became useless. It wasn't gradual, it came without warning, and it just would've been nice to do earlier in Dying Light's life.
I'm gonna miss shields. A LOT. Mastering the shield was a very satisfying experience, and now it's for nothing. I understand why they got rid of it (it's a crutch with little counter play and canceled too many animations)... In fact I approve of its removal... But that doesn't make it hurt any less.
Funnily enough, this is like the 3rd or 4th update in the entire “Dying Light Rebuild” package. The patches were done by Fear years ago and Techland have only started to very slowly add them in (starting in early 2020!). So this is actually in a way slowly changing the meta over time, instead of instant. And besides, I’m all for this meta change.
Update is really good imo. Personally I feel the nest got a little too beefed but it’s still pre good
I'd rather they deal with the rampant cheater problem and glitches. Such as unlimited flashlight, grapple, ungodly speed (night hunters going at light speed), canceling things mid move to use a different one ( such as ram into a ground pound) and unlimited health / uv resistance to name a few.
This is a dead game and the "DL RUclipsrs" or even Techland wont talk about it.

Was expecting the Night Hunter's spits in general to no longer have shared uses[such as using Horde spit and seeing UV spit go 1/2 out of 2/2].
Survivor Sense & Acid Spit should be more active and have a 15sec cooldown

I didn't even know DL had an active PVP. I just assumed it was tacked on.
It's basically the only reason to play and it's basically the only thing no one knows it for. Not to say that singleplayer isn't great, it really is... But the pvp is something on a completely different level and you can NOT get anything like this experience in any other game.
Sort of reminds me of that old Natural Selection game (Half-Life mod). 2 powerhouse teams with MASSIVE asymmetry, yet mostly balanced and very intense.

Being a switch user I was shown no mercy the first time I was invaded. I was helpess and I still struggle to win. Most of the time I feel like a caveman by using my UV light like I'm trying to give the hunter a seizure and hoping I can bait him into tackling me.

I tried the PvP a while back, and I always keep it off now.
Every night hunter you encounter is a veteran, and they always invade solo games.
Like, yeah, humans can reliably beat night hunters, with enough preparation and experience, but, playing on ps4, fumbling with the d-pad... I don't bother with invasions, because I don't want to waste my time getting good at defending.
I don't need night hunter boosters, I can get gold weapons from Bozak's, and I don't really mind not having gold firearms.
Who even plays as the night hunter? Isn't there literally no reason for anyone to want to play as the attacker?
+ straight up removing items is unfair. And they're not even doing it right; dlc weapons slap hard, apparently.
They should have balanced the items instead of just, what, disallowing the players from using them?

I haven't played dl1 since 2 came out have these weapons been banned overall or just in PVP. And what about the rest of the stuff like the boosters and such. Is this all just PVP or the whole game?
just in BTZ, though some were only useful in that gamemode (last wish) and some deserved to be banned the second they came out for the sake of inexperienced hunters (last wish, shields)

Damn I haven't even gotten to use shields in pvp yet. I just discovered they cancelled the drop kick animation, and thought I was the first to do so lmao. I thought everyone hated using them.

i support everything but the new spit, its usless now unless you get a spitsmash to get the old effect back, if you could tackle someone with it or say behind pounces were uncounterble while downed (not as easy to get behind someone in that timeframe as you think.) or if toxic spit did full dmg while its there, it would be a lot more..... there would actually be a point to using it at all, sigh, guess im an apex that uses UV spit now, thnx techland. although bless you for last wish that thing never shoulda been allowed in BTZ, unless your legit carnivore or above your beyond dead. and while i never mastered the shield myself, having a counter on a spit the human can already dodge was dumb, support for that aswell
Blowing up survivors and knocking them off of buildings from lethal heights is not only entertaining but also much more useful than the original Survivor Sense spit.
@@AussieGG do they take fall dmg from it? If so then yea I completely support it, also what’s the chance your actually gonna blow someone up? First argument was better, assuming they do take fall dmg from it, which yea does make it better then the old effect.
Also addition if they DO take fall dmg from it the update coulda mentioned that, it coulda just as easily been another gp, EDIT, okay yea tested it and it does do fall dmg OP as hell (noobs will give a lot for a free dub against a legit apex.) and again, update coulda mentioned that
@@Godslayer4000 Knocking down survivors means that they will fall over, unlike a ground pound, it’s pretty self explanatory. As far as blowing survivors up goes, the spit triggers any explosive barrels, which are quite frequent everywhere.

It depends but mostly it's 2 in the future it's gonna be a lot better it's already better though. But I don't think noviex will reply soon he hasn't uploaded in a little bit.
the fact that dying light is still getting updates is crazy, especially because it’s the pvp mode that from my experience seemed so dead on console.

If you’re referring to the banned items in pvp, yeah. You can still use all of them in the regular game
The gameplay in the background is why I don't touch the online, I did it once and the zombie killed me instantly. Right after that I went back to private ha my crackhead gamer days are way behind me.
I have a question Nov do you think Dl1 is better than Dl2 because in its current state I think so Dl2 can still be fun but Dl1 just has way more depth and pvp while Dl2 doesn’t even have endgame or even an extensive skill tree which is why I wanna know if you someone who’s put countless hours into the first game have you given the second the same chance you did with the first

Personally, I love everything. Especially those amazing ban on Easter Egg items and Shields thank the god. What I'm slightly torn on is the fcact that camoflauge takes longer, which really isn't that much of a big deal I just hate having to deal with camo spammers that literally all they do is spam camo, and also the spit rework. I'm not sure I quite like it, especially as I use that spit a lot. I mean, it's good that they kept the old one as spit smash but I gues I'll have to play with the new spit to get used to it. But honestly thabk god for easter egg weapons, that last wish revolver was some bollocks

Imo it's doing really good. I may be biased cause I love the game to death, but it's worth it even just for the parkour

Honestly, I am happy they removed shields. The only downside about this update is there is a lot of bugs/glitches and ideas that they could've added to the game. Sadly, it was the last update. :(

the gut render/chainsaw isnt that bad if you know how to use it and are not fighting a high lvl hunter
