Over these two albums, through each song, a chapter is explained in the story.. You wont understand until you start to look it up, but it's quite interesting to see how they wove it all together.
If I watched the video without knowing the concept of the album already, it's safe to say I'd be really freaked out.

@benjc4 you are right...to add to your comment this song is part of a 2 part concept album(s) in which the main character is seduced by the promise of power of Mephisto(aka satan) in the end the main character realizes that love is all he ever really wanted even though he ended up sacrificing the live of the person he loved!!! ( ariel).

before anyone else tries to link this to religion,this whole album The Black Halo and Epica are linked by a story,of Mephisto wanting to come back in heaven enters a bet with God,he has to take the soul of Gods faborite man,Ariel a young alchemist searching for the ultimate truth who has been doubting God for not giving him the answers he wants,there is a lot more to say about this but i wont spam,just go to wiki and check the "Kamelot-Epica" page

You should correct "majorem" into "maiorem". Latins didn't use the letter "J", "I" replaced it.
I think there is a typo in your lyrics. I think it's "I made your solitude" (look at his mouth when he sings that part either first or second chourus... I may be wrong, though...
