  • I built this cheap guitar stand using less than a quarter sheet of mdf. You could also make it out of plywood or hardwood. It's durable, easy to build, looks great, and best of all, it's cheap. It's a great beginner do-it-yourself project. This would be a great gift for any guitar player with multiple guitars. This is great for organizing a music room or spare bedroom. Let me know what you think and as always, thanks for watching.

Just saw this on a search - great simple design for home - going to start building today. Good idea on the weather stripping cushion, it should protect my guitars both good ones and cheap ones. Thanks.

My only concern would be the strength of that MDF. Hardwood while it's a little more expensive will stand the test of time and be much more stable. It's a good job on the build, though. Well made.

May want to check the use of foam padding which can damage the finish. Double up 100% cotton is best

Love it . . . . .going to build it out of solid radiata pine. . . . . excellent job man

This is exactly what I was looking for. Can you point me to the PDF for the 6X Guitar Stand that you used in your video? The one on your site is the 7X Guitar Stand

What's the angle on the low support beams that hold the guitar body? I'm planning to make one of some lefover metal, and I only have angular bars, so I was wondering what angle to use on bottom.
