    Just saw a FSBO and the photos were awful. This video is spot on that I wasn’t motivated to see it. I didn’t even bookmark it to keep it in mind.

    I bought a house recently in the UK. Very bad photos taken, outdated interior people weren't interested. But I saw the bigger picture and bought it for a good price. Should be a good investment once updated
    Great video!

      Exactly! You have to see the bigger picture. Great job!

      Matt Leighton
      Question.
      I’m actually buying a house right now.
      I live in Amarillo tx
      Buying a house in central Texas.
      Never seen it. Never met the real estate agent.
      Never been to the town.
      I know I’m kinda craZy.
      We have agreed on a price. I sent her the Ernest money. Now waiting for the paperwork.
      At some point I have to send a check for the
      Balance of the house, who do I send it to ?
      Title company? Who do I make it out to ?
      Title co or seller ? Should it be a cashiers check ? I have never bought a home before.
      Thx.

      Title company. They should be advising you on where and when to send the money

    Ok!!!!is there a 2 nd part were you explained the $85 k?

    • @TheMattLeighton
      @TheMattLeighton  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Angel! Thanks for watching! We saved $85k from the list price by negotiating and submitting our offer when the sellers were desperate for an offer. The items explained in the video are what helped us save the $85k. Thanks again for watching!

    Where do you go to see if the house has been in the market for 100 days or so?

    • @TheMattLeighton
      @TheMattLeighton  3 года назад

      Zillow would be a good start. If you're working with a buyer's agent, your agent can get this list together for you

    Hey Matt I was wondering I know it depends on the size of the property but in general are cabins cheaper than houses?

    • @TheMattLeighton
      @TheMattLeighton  2 года назад

      Probably, but that's a very relative question

    Matt if I list my house on "Make Me Move" does that count as days on the market?

    • @TheMattLeighton
      @TheMattLeighton  5 лет назад

      Nope! Only in the eyes of Zillow. If you decided to list on the MLS later, your MLS days on market would be zero!

      he forgot point one, to save $85k only look at houses over $1million - he forgot another point if location isn't that important - greatly expand your area - I was looking for a house within 200miles & not having much luck in my price point but when I expanded my area to include border states, I found LOTS of great deals.

    • @TheMattLeighton

    320k in Arlington? Must be 1 bedroom condo in bad neighborhood.

  • @boomvas1754
    @boomvas1754 5 лет назад +1

    I like the video but I don't believe you got a 340k house for 255k
    Maybe you convinced your buyer to buy a different property listed for 255k

    • @TheMattLeighton
      @TheMattLeighton  5 лет назад +3

      You are correct. We didn't get a $340k house for $255k. We got a $399k house for $315k. Thanks for watching!

      Haha, right on. Matt, do you have any videos on finding a mortgage lender? should I go though my bank which is small and local or go through my friend who is a real estate agent who's helping me look around? are there good ones/bad ones, red flags to look out for? I don't really know how to start other than to just google away. Great videos so far, i just found the channel!

    • @TheMattLeighton
      @TheMattLeighton  5 лет назад +1

      Both! Local bank and trusted real estate agent. See who you like working with better. Their loan packages may be similar but one could have better/different programs than another.
      Just like you would with trying to find a real estate agent, talk to a few lenders to see who like best
