Crash Test Drama (Round 3) Highlights

What another fantastic variety of plays we had at our third event of the year.
We had three plays that were submitted by first-time writers, so huge congratulations to them. Plus, monologues are a bit of a rarity at Crash Test, so it was a unique program to have two included.
Crash Test certainly gives the opportunity to step outside our usual boundaries.
The results were as follows...
AUDIENCE CHOICE
1st Place: ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ - 42 votes
Written & directed by Indianna Erickson.
2nd Place: ‘Soldier Boys’ - 27 votes
Written by Kathleen Tuziak & directed by Craig Bulmer.
3rd Place: ‘Queenie’ - 26 votes
Written & directed by Katrina Samaras.
JUDGE'S CHOICE
Our judge for the day was Ruth Fingret and her picks were:
Best Play: ‘Look What You Made Me Do' written & directed by Indianna Erickson.
Best Actor: Lisa Hanssens (in 'Queenie')
Runner-up Actor: Grace Johnson (in 'Look What You Made Me Do')
A massive thanks go again to Melanie Roffey who organised the memberships, ticket sales and purchasing of the food and prizes.
Also, another big shout out to Craig Bulmer who took over the MC duties.
Our next Crash Test Drama event will be the Finals on 10th November, when the six winning scripts from throughout the year will be presented as fully rehearsed plays.
