Re Stalking qualification, I’ve been stalking for about 35 years and have not done an exam to date , I feel I could be pushed aside towards someone who has a bit of paper and possibly only shot a couple of deer ,an ex keeper as well , I wonder where this will go ! Great show and keep going 👍
I've been shooting over 60 years and recently took an "online test" I scored 99.9% in 2 mins of the 1 1/2 hours allowed. That downloaded piece of paper now impresses more people than 60 years experience. Sad really.

Due to the much snow and cold here in Norway , Fretex the Salvation Army’ thrift store reports they have sold more fur coats , fur jackets and fur hats combined than in many years combined .
BASC register - piece stated land owners are finding it difficult to locate stalkers to manage deer numbers, sorry but this issue I feel is caused by landowners not being resident and being difficult to be contacted by local deer managers. Constantly you get a 3rd party who is less enamoured with the way country life works, acting as a barrier to meeting the landowner. If they were serious, it isn't difficult to speak to those working on the farms, gardens etc to get local contacts. It used to be done in the local pub but as most don't accept locally sourced beasts that avenue is being closed out.
Do you think the Aimpoint shotgun sight will be accepted on a UK driven shoot? I rather doubt it, given the difficulty in getting traditionalists to accept the advent of over and under over the side by side!
You can use those fibe optic open reflex sights instead of that v expensive aimpoint. These are v cheap and all you have to do is enlarge the dot by stabbing around with a needle. I've got it working well on my mossberg.
