Sierra is the best sister ever. I woke her up out of a dead slumber early in the morning to come record this cover of I Miss You by Blink 182. After hearing an old live clip of her singing this, I had arranged a drum part and wanted to turn it into a full production!

My childhood friend passed away a couple years ago.. We both grew up constantly listening and singing along to Blink-182.. After he passed away I stopped listening to them because it would just make me think of him and miss him (especially this song).. What this version has done is make me realize I was focusing on all the sadness instead of the happy times we had together.. Now, Blink-182 invokes happy memories and brings me a smile, even if there's still tears streaming down my face. You know your cover is good when it brings an entirely different perspective to someone. Wonderful Job!

That really sucks man. Sometimes i feel like my friends are dead even though they’re not. It’s rare if we get to hang out or talk and if we do then the conversation dies quickly. Sometimes i wonder if they even care but i know life is busy and I’m also busy. If something happens to them I’ll blame myself but at the same time I feel like i bother them. Thank you for that...gorgeous...my 5 year old daughter passed away of leukemia on my birthday, February 21st, 2007 and this song had a special place in her heart as she used to sing it with her big sister at our cottage. This showed up tonight in my feed at 11 p.m. on Feb 20. She died 3 hours from now in 2007. This brought her back to me for a few beautiful moments....😇

It is very difficult to cover a song that is so popular and carries such a high-level of nostalgia. To the core of me I am a huge fan of covers, but I also grade cover songs. Mainly because these songs are so dear to my heart.

Got this still on repeat 20 times in a row weekly; as a prescribed dose of mood cleanser. It's truly one of the best songs and performances of my lifetime and I'm 66yo.
It stays this way. Still on repeat. There are always those magic guitar sounds coming from the background (like at 3:46) that take me off the ground into the parallel universe.
just wanted to say there's been a lot of tough years behind me, i work way too much and don't take time for myself very often. but every couple of saturdays you and sierra show up in my recommendeds and i sit and have 2 hours of freedom relistening to this and all the others. your art has more power than you know, changes a lot of days from "i cant" to "i will" for me. an absolute gift you both are to us all.

I listened to this in the car with the girl I’m crazy for a week ago in Florida with the sunroof open while holding her hand. Her hair blew gently around the car and I could smell the ocean air as the sun was setting. In that moment, I felt true happiness, which is a feeling I’ve never really experienced in my 30 year of life. I’m now 6 states away from her and she wants nothing to do with me anymore. This song will always remind me of how true happiness felt, even if it hurts.
