good shit out of that... ok, let's rool back to our italian broadcasted soap opera of a priest that rides a bicycle and solves cases stuffed with obviousness and pro religious thoughts
A couple of years ago, I must've stumbled upon this under the influence of Zoloft, and watched the whole thing half asleep or almost falling asleep. For the longest time I had no recollection of this, up until today when I was shuffling some songs and landed on Vangelis, at which point the vague memory of synth musicians battling a comet rushed into my brain, which I promptly convinced myself was something I'd made up on the spot. Nevertheless, I decided to Google it, found the video, and remembered the circumstances. What an incredible video. What an experience.
Agreed. tbh Panos should be a recurring interdimensional character across various Adult Swim media at least those in which the Wonder Child would fit the tone.
Most people today have heard of Panos the synthesizer, as his name has been popularized over the centuries and his story has been dramatized in numerous novels, films, and television programs. The powerful synth lord is depicted with many magical powers, including the power of shapeshifting and is well-known in mythology as a tutor and mentor to the legendary Dr. Strange, ultimately guiding him towards becoming the king of Mars. While these general tales are well-known, Panos initial appearances were only somewhat linked to Dr.Strange. It took many decades of adaptations before Panos became the wonder child and legend he is known as today.
I think my favorite moment is when Zoroger(GM) announces that he has the power to stop the destruction, and then launches into a cheesy flat sythn bass line. Which is totally a Moroder move.

Thank you. I was wondering Xangelix and Carla whom are referring to.
@@FulioBagginz gee idk about xangelix
you're still going to have to explain who the real people are. vangelus was known for chariots of fire. moroder was known for the music arrangement for I feel love, a Donna summer song and Wendy Carlos nee Walter was known for the original Tron soundtrack
I'm still in the market for a Zorg Polyprotosynclavatronulator.
+Sound Author You just can't beat those LFO's. And the 16-note polyphony? Forget about it. Really wish Zorg made polyprotosynclavs like they used to.
Good luck finding a tech for that.
I always thought the Zorg triple lowpass RC fliter was inferior. Unless you are doing a very full, open filter type sound with a fast amp attack you are going to hear a lot of clicking.
I got a no-pass filter that is pretty quiet to be discrete analog. @@jonnie2bad
Probably the best thing I say this year on youtube. Why did it take over three years for this to show up in my recommendations?
This is the best video on RUclips.
It's so beautiful, I cried.
They said there couldn't be a perfect comedy sketch.
They were wrong.
I think this is my favourite Adult Swim peculiarity.
It's been 5 years and this is STILL one of my all time favorite one offs AS helped make!
Wasn't surprised one bit when I saw Scott Gairdner (sex offender shuffle, Scott meets Family Circus) was involved making it.
Never take this video down!
my life had negligible meaning until my exposure to this
one of the finest examples of retro video production and pure, sweeping, beautiful synth. a true work art among fake, dumb, not synth trash. god bless to all involved.
Man i've seen this at least 30 times and it still gets better every time
As expected when you have three talented musicians in a battle against each other
they ultimately end up playing together..
you must have missed the Steve vai/ joe satriani/ yngwie malmsteen tour....
@@dagonvaldez2878 Yes, I didn't bother to see those but I have seen Steve Vai perform with Zappa (and Son of Zappa) on many occasions. I also did see Joe Satriani and Stu Hamm was with him. I never did care for the music that Malmsteen has done but I have to admit it's very virtuostic and quite entertaining to watch.
I put this on during my late-night commute home from work and place my phone face-down, so that I can imagine myself back in the '80s, listening to this historic moment on the radio.
This is truly a masterpiece. And I say that as a person who owns three synths LOL they nailed it. This needs to become a full length movie!
You're not a real synth-head unless you own a vinyl first pressing of Xangelix is A Fool.
@@murrfeeling I have the first Silver Apple’s album, that’s got to count for something , right?
I can't decide what's better, this video, or reading people nerd out about synth in the comments :)
