  • This highly recommended adventure turned out to be a great half day Canyoneering trip in the North Wash area of Central Utah about 30 miles south of Hanksville on HWY 95. The canyon had one large, 200', somewhat tricky Slot Rappel to begin the descent into the very cool canyon features! Many Physical Down Climbs follow, including the AMAZING Corkscrew formation. After finishing the Canyon proper, Climbing back out one is greeted by the Beautiful & Delicate Arscenic Arch. Enjoy!

    You put the A in Adventure. Hope you got a shake at Stan’s! You deserved one. Awesome video! We just got back from that area yesterday and happy to report NO drone crashes! Thanks for sharing! 😀😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍👍

      Thanks Lynn, I default to action in most situations, so the videos hopefully reflect that👍. Good to hear your drone has stayed intact, need to catch up on what you've been doing. Thanks again, Karl 🙏

    Beautiful slot canyon and arch! The colors are definitely poppin’ too. It’s a good thing you are an ectomorph shape to navigate that tight slot. Nice artsy shot with the drone of the thru view of you with the arch in between.

      Yes, yes, and yes! Thanks again Aamon for a great comment 👍👍. I truly feel that this slot canyon is one of the most underrated in Utah. The Arch was cool, I was thinking if I could get there at a certain time it would provide some cool perspectives, thanks for the nod there my friend! Karl

    Good stuff, good mix of aerial footage as well. We used to traipse around the slot canyon areas South of Green River and N/E of Hanksville. Thanks for bringing those memories back 🙂

      Appreciate that, let's just say if it becomes not fun doing the 20 hour edits to produce the adventures in this manner, I'll have to deal with that. Share a couple of your faves with like-minded friends, thanks!

      Hey thanks Ron! Yessir in that situation you have to retrieve it on the way out, which in this case was convenient 😊. Appreciate your support! Karl

    Looks tight!!! What was the rain percentage? Just curious. I’m in Utah a good bit and adventure sometimes at 30-40% chance.

      @KarlDeckerPresents  Год назад +1

      Yeah as I said a couple times, felt like a good scuffle out back LoL. Don't know the precip percentage, just very aware of the storm close to the Henrys. I stayed put til it passed, so not a big issue but that said, weather conditions are a huge consideration always for me. Thanks man✔️

      No, a couple hours away. Yes, you can hike around the left side above the canyon. I did that after retrieving my rope

    I’m bringing my wife to Colorado for her first time the first week in July… flying to into Denver where my Aunt lives. Can you recommend the best ridge hikes around Denver/Boulder? Or the Rocky Mountain National Park for day hikes, thank you! 🍻

      Totally honest...I don't give advice like this unless I have a pretty accurate picture of total ability and, importantly, acclimation. Thanks for the comment my brother!
