hazy/ smoggy. ironically, the only clear night in last 1.5 months was the night of geminids peak. Some how the astro luck of having clouds on important events completely reversed itself
Hey have you been out Sunday 17th? I was out as well that night and saw that the cloud hole didn't stretch fat enough to the Netherlands! 😂 I really do like the high cloud look! Really looking forward to next week when the skies will be clear! 💪 Where will you go?
Hey Jan! This one was filmed on dec 10th. Also looking forward to next week! Since I have work I will most likely stay in NL. Where? Not sure yet, but there are about 5 plans already. Fingers crossed! What are your plans?
@@StarScaperPhoto Are you sure they actually are clouds, I had some pretty insane airglow on the 16th of December that took on some high cloud like appearance at first but looked very strange, I live and image from Guernsey (Channel Islands) so not a massive distance away from NL , Initially i thought it was clouds but there was vibrant colours, too much for it to be high clouds, bright vibrant oranges and greens so I thought it was airglow, the location I was at was a low B2 and on top of that I was looking over open ocean so no light sources for 100s or 1000s of miles to illuminate any high clouds . I also checked local observatory all sky camera footage and it didn't look like high clouds at all, more like ripples moving across water played back as a time lapse and there was also high clouds that rolled in later on that looked very different. Since you have some green airglow present already I would not be surprised if that was also airglow, at least in the first image.
Coffee, kids still sleeping and StarScaper vlog :D best way to start a Sunday :D. Images are great, turned out waaaay better than expected in those conditions
Excellent video and adventure, Jeroen. Love the Cygnus editing - I think they cloud has enhanced the shot there; it looks fantastic. The weather here has been abysmal recently - hoping for a couple of clear nights this coming week 🤞
How's the weather for you lately? And how do you handle those below average nights? Let me know!

I really like the image with the popsicle stick watch tower. The airglow and clouds add something quite special and beautiful.
Thank you! Those clouds and color give it some extra dynamics or something, I agree!

Ha ha! That’s exactly what I thought. Coffee (or scotch at night) + a video from Jeroen. 👌
Haha, that sounds like the best morning! 😄
Stunning results Jeroen, especially considering the challenging conditions - love the range of colours and cloud texture in the first image especially
Thanls Greg! That one alsp turned out much better than I expected myself.
Leuke video weer, en prachtige fotos!! 😊
Dankjewel!

Thanks for your comment again Andy! Sounds like time well spent! 👍
@@StarScaperPhoto well I do know more now, but I don’t think enough.
@@andywash we never stop learning ;-). Hang in there, keep trying and you'll get it eventually. What part are you stuck/doesn't go the way you'd like?
I enjoyed your newest vid and i said on instagram, i only had one without clouds in two months. That is totally crazy ;D
Thanks for letting me know man! And yeah, it's been crazy indeed. Fingers crossed for some astro payback time the coming days 😎
@@StarScaperPhoto need more data from orion to get a new shot done :D
@@Kevin.kistermann more data is always better indeed 💪

No h-alpha filter ON ?
Only astro mod cam?
Yes, that's correct.
