I agree. It’s a wonderful play set for the kids, and the ice cream cone pieces for the mini figs are something I find really funny and cool. The price is something that irks me, because of it was lower I would buy it to display, because I love displaying vehicles like this
I love the story behind this set, that the bad guys made this crazy powerful ice cream truck to rip things out of walls and be able to outrun a police car. at the same time, the set is so easily modible so you could have a normal ice cream truck or just do whatever you want with it. this is peak lego in my opinion.
Reminds me of the first wave of Lego Movie sets as they had an iceream truck as well. Quite like the idea of whimsical vehicles that can easily be turned into regular vehicles, or at the very least, be practically scaled. This icecream truck could've been a nice buy just for how fun the whole thing is had it not been priced so high. $30usd I'd say is a fair price to ask for. Hope Lego finds more ways to bring in this kind of relatively tame yet still fun design.
The one minor annoyance, if you have a young Lego City Adventures fan, is this years lineup does include the third member of the Ice Cream Bandits. But he’s split over 2 sets. The police station has the figure of the green bandit with his food service peaked cap. And the lifeguard station has the green ice cream cone outfit to go with him. So completing the named gang gets expensive.
I like that Lego does not always base sets on realism. It shows kids that it is okay to do something different, to step away from reality and use your imagination.
My 5 year old is finally super into legos and I think this will fit in really well with the Spidey and Friends collection we’ve built. Great reviews. :)
This looks like quite a fun Lego set where the bad guys shoot ice cream at the cops! 😆The price is not horrible and you get a nice sporty police car with it, I like this set, very colorful as well.
The ice cream cannon is a really good middle ground for older audiences and the younger targeted audiences. Older fans don’t usually care too much for the play features, but they are pretty big for younger ones, so making the cannon so well hidden is a good compromise.
I'm sure other people who use the road will be super happy about the caltrops that the ice cream van didn't drive over. At least the tire salesman will be.
My children are far too old for that and not thinking about the price, its a cute set. The truck and minifigs are nice. 30€ seems too much, but you'll actually get it for 22 to 25 here in Germany.
This ice cream truck reminds me of that one The Simpsons episode where Homer gets fired from the nuclear plant and takes over an ice cream truck business.
This is effectively two past/current individual City sets (a police car and a ice cream truck) which have been bundled together and modified with extras and action features, plus a small side build. So the price of this in the UK is surprisingly low; European price is very much on the nose but US price is definitely a touch overpriced. $30 would've been a logical price, as a current individual police car is $10 and a current individual ice cream truck is $20 but this set seems to have a bit more going on, as wacky as the vehicles look.
I was waiting for this review ever since you did the reveals video, and I have to admit, that this is my fave set from this year's first wave of sets, and come the end of the year, it may be my fave overall! I like how they didn't use the pink and blue in a stereotypical manner also. It's a solid yes from me :¬) Excellent set
I swear, if that other Green Ice Cream costume Minifigure in the life guard tower set isn't canonicaly called Cone, that's what I'm actually going to be upset about.😅 Man alive I love what they've been doing with Lego City sets since 2020. Both their quality AND quantity of sets released and the details, designs, and features have gone way up. But for a lot of them, their prices actually HAVEN'T. I think they've finally found a winning strategy with the current and past 3 waves of sets. Things like this are everything I could've dreamed of as a kid within a reasonable price range. This wave in particular is quite literally so sweet. Plus Yute gotta admit, that was a nice set, and an ice set.😏👉✨
The ice cream truck has doors which is always welcome. I love that ice cream mini figure costume so much I bought all of them on Bricks and Pieces. Build a Minifigure will have an exclusive light blue color in the spring. It's a $30 set really. $10 car, $20 ice cream truck.
I just picked this one up on clearance sale at our local Walmart for $25. Normally we buy Star Wars, Harry Potter, or other popular Lego series but at 25 bucks, 3 mini figs, and 317 pieces we couldn't pass it up.
JANG, a question that's in my head for years now: Is there a reason behind the fact that all LEGO City vehicles (maybe even buildings, not so sure about that) windows are blue coloured? Why aren't they 100% transparent? Vehicles in the Friends line are btw.
In Australia, because our UV is so high, almost everyone gets their car windows tinted, so you can pretend that this is the reason they are blue in Lego city.
Hmmm it occurs to me why every officer in lego city is basically smiling and there is constant robberies in City. Anyways great looking set and fantastic figures. But a little pricey.
I haven’t bought legos in years, but this looks really cute and fun to build so I want to get it, but I don’t think I can justify spending $50 on it. $30 sounds more accurate to me.
cooler than the last ice cream truck plus ice cream figs are great, personally id like it better if it didnt have the police car and was cheaper but hey
i prefer ninjago and city because so much play value with those both themes than what you compare with technic or star wars they also super expensive so i dont really into that themes.
Part of me is wondering why City has Star Wars prices these days and why every build seems so gimmicky. Why is it that Friends is a better city line than City?
I love LEGO, but it’s getting harder to deal these prices. I’ve got grand kids to buy for. I don’t know if I can justify $39 for what you get. My purchasing is at an all time low.
I’m honestly just pretty happy with how they included the new electric yellow colour. I like the new colour quite a bit, but not so much how it’s so translucent. Using it at the bottom is a good way of avoiding this issue, while still including it.
I like this set, but it's just so overpriced. I also don't like that the cone can't be angled up or down. $40 US or $50 AUD is appalling for a simple car and a van. The last ice-cream truck was just $20, so am I supposed to believe everything else is $30 in value?
I really like this set, but I agree it's a bit pricey (not going to stop me from getting it of course). The "Real Ice Cream" sign on the side is a bit suspicious
The police car looks very weird and this ice cream truck is weird. Looks like a fake version of the 2014 Lego Movie Ice Cream Truck. The 2020 ice cream truck is much better

“Now, somehow… Palpatine returned.”
That surprised me, but it’s welcome! 🤣
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
A suprise to be sure but a welcome one
We will watch his career (as a memelord) with great interest

I would check bricklink for the remaining crook fig. Since its a smaller set, the fig shouldnt be expensive on its own.
I like that Lego does not always base sets on realism. It shows kids that it is okay to do something different, to step away from reality and use your imagination.
I like how they used the shuriken pieces as road spikes. Pretty creative!
That’s a really smart caltrop build. Always one spikey bit sticks up no matter how you throw them.
My 5 year old is finally super into legos and I think this will fit in really well with the Spidey and Friends collection we’ve built. Great reviews. :)
Man I was an OG URC fan, the youtube algo brought me back to jang! This is wild! some good nostalgia and glad to know youre on youtube!
Might buy this just to decorate my modular street, the police car would be awesome with the police station
This looks like quite a fun Lego set where the bad guys shoot ice cream at the cops! 😆The price is not horrible and you get a nice sporty police car with it, I like this set, very colorful as well.

4:05 oh no
I'm sure other people who use the road will be super happy about the caltrops that the ice cream van didn't drive over. At least the tire salesman will be.
Yeah they should have put them on a flex tube or axle to make a spike strip
This set gives me Twisted Metal vibes haha
My children are far too old for that and not thinking about the price, its a cute set. The truck and minifigs are nice. 30€ seems too much, but you'll actually get it for 22 to 25 here in Germany.
This ice cream truck reminds me of that one The Simpsons episode where Homer gets fired from the nuclear plant and takes over an ice cream truck business.
Man, that ice cream truck really reminds me of the 2008 joker ice cream truck. Really great set with cool features.
This is effectively two past/current individual City sets (a police car and a ice cream truck) which have been bundled together and modified with extras and action features, plus a small side build. the best part of this is that you can still fully bend the minifig with the ice cream costume on,
Truck gives me Lego movie 1 ice cream truck vibes
This is one of the first city sets in a while that's interested me
well Jangbricks I bought the set today at Walmart in Davenport, Iowa I think the guy with the magenta hat looks like Timmy Turner's hat
With great ice cream comes great responsibility

I didn't think I'd want any of these city sets but this one is hilarious and I will be looking for a sale to get this one hopefully around $32!
The ice cream truck has doors which is always welcome.
I love that ice cream mini figure costume so much I bought all of them on Bricks and Pieces. Build a Minifigure will have an exclusive light blue color in the spring.
It's a $30 set really. $10 car, $20 ice cream truck.
Hey JANG. My ice cream shooter also shot to one side or the other and didn't shoot like a disc does. was not happy.
The ice cream costumes could be modified to use as rubbish bins.
I just picked this one up on clearance sale at our local Walmart for $25. Normally we buy Star Wars, Harry Potter, or other popular Lego series but at 25 bucks, 3 mini figs, and 317 pieces we couldn't pass it up.
I just got a lego ad for this exact set while watching the video
I like the ice cream suit figures and truck, but i wish the gray stripes were better hidden by the costume.
would've liked pink hair for my modular cyberpunk block I'm doing :/
Looking at the pricing of that.. yikes people in the UK are getting luckier here
But only by £5! It is nice to be on the other side for once.
Actually they paid the same if you convert 40 dollar to pound.
For once
Can you review Lloyd’s race car evo nextt
I got the set last week sitting in my backlog to build Ice cream guys look sweet lol
I was thinking I swear we just got an ice cream truck. But that 2 whole years ago! Where did that time go?
Your title said it all
You know they should have given the 2 criminals regular alternate faces. So the truck would pass better as "just an ice cream car".
This is one that I'm betting is still gonna be warming the shelves in a few months.. maybe catch it on sale
LEGO City 2022 5+ 60314 lce Cream Truck Police Chase Set

i checked my local store and they are selling this set for 20€, nice
Hmmm it occurs to me why every officer in lego city is basically smiling and there is constant robberies in City.
Anyways great looking set and fantastic figures. But a little pricey.

honestly wish they had sold this without the police chase gubbins, the ice cream truck is really cute on its own, very cute and colourful build
cooler than the last ice cream truck plus ice cream figs are great, personally id like it better if it didnt have the police car and was cheaper but hey
Amazing lego set.
Man where is that lime green clip from I've heard it forever ago and I just can't figure it out
good thing I got it for 5 dollars off on sale
Ice cream truck is paying homage to twisted metals ice cream truck
as a patent the spikes are a nightmare to step on
Nice video. What do you usually prefer? Lego Ninjago, Lego City, Lego monke kid, Lego Star Wars, Lego technic, or Lego ideas?
i prefer ninjago and city because so much play value with those both themes than what you compare with technic or star wars
they also super expensive so i dont really into that themes.
I appreciate that the guy is dressed in pink and the girl is dressed in blue, subverting the idea that "blue = boy, pink = girl"
Part of me is wondering why City has Star Wars prices these days and why every build seems so gimmicky. Why is it that Friends is a better city line than City?
I also like some of the Friends stuff over the new City ones- the school as one example.
A V8 Holden Ute is the most realistic car I see the police vehicle!
Its very good for me because im building a bank huest and itll fit properly
In Poland its on 30$ and IMO its a perfect price.
this set is great
What are the ice cream masks for? They aren't even any sort of disguise. How to use those masks in roleplay. Please help me understand. Thanks
Ooo caltrops
Is this set more worth than the police and fireman arrest
The one with the police motorcycle, crook car and fireman car(truck)
Reminds me of sweet tooth from twisted metal
I love LEGO, but it’s getting harder to deal these prices. I’ve got grand kids to buy for. I don’t know if I can justify $39 for what you get. My purchasing is at an all time low.
Is that a lego police ute?
Here it cost 29€ (plus 15% off - 24€), nice price I would say.
8-year-old me would have gotten _so much_ play out of this thing
one police motorcycle and a figure to go with it and that probably will sweaten the deal
I’m honestly just pretty happy with how they included the new electric yellow colour. I like the new colour quite a bit, but not so much how it’s so translucent. Using it at the bottom is a good way of avoiding this issue, while still including it.
There doesn't appear to be many honest businesses in LEGO City
I also watch Lego city adventure TV series
Brilliant show
It shoots Pac-Man Ghosts
Forty dollars?! I was honestly expecting $25...
$39AUD from Kmart Australia. ($28USD) Woo-hoo!
Definitely paying a charm tax on that truck. Overpriced, otherwise solid set.
I got 20% off from this set
I’m getting it for £17
I like this set, but it's just so overpriced.
There is no problem to buy LEGO 20-35% cheaper that its box price so 30$ is more than realistic.
The police car looks very weird and this ice cream truck is weird. Looks like a fake version of the 2014 Lego Movie Ice Cream Truck. The 2020 ice cream truck is much better
:D
