That's one of the biggest offenses in the city line for years now. Most vehicles don't have doors like they did in the past. And many don't even have the seat piece in there for the driver (this one does, but that is a rarity these days)
It's strange how this set has 60 more pieces than the previous Mobile Command Truck set from 2017, yet seems to offer much less, at least as far as the actual mobile command part of it goes. Not a bad set, I really like the little tractor in particular, but the trailer part should've been lengthened by 4-6 studs to give you a real command center.
Does it offer less? The truck pulling the trailer can be used much more versatilely on its own, there's an extra drone and an extra trailer with shooter for the bad guys (but one less animal). Looks like they traded some "command center" aesthetics for more action play value for kids.

Totally right about the cops the one of the left is great for all the European LEGO fans, I feel like that set will sell out fast because of it for city mocs
You can get it for around €30 here in Germany and while I would wish some tiny bits of detail, I would maybe get it for my kids, if they were much younger. After many disappointments, this is a nice city set.
Love the vids Jang. I watch ‘‘em all. My 2 cents on the background when you’re summarizing is that it’s too busy. Feels like there’s a lot going on and feels unorganized. I have no problem with the more casual parts, that’s great !
Truck looks great except for those fenders, too small for the wheels so they have to put them higher resulting in an unsightly gap. Front part of the trailer looks great and that "hidden" drone is a great play feature but that rear part really breaks the aesthetic of it. Tractor is fine and I like that double hitch they did, very appropriate for play.
This seems like a surprisingly good value to me! I remember wanting a similar set from the 200s that was $40, and it was comparable in size, if I remember correctly. I do wish that the parts were distributed better, though, it does need more “command.”
The newest Lego Technic differential gear is a direct copy of one designed to be 3D printed. It was designed to be stronger than Lego diffs, and the bevel gears dont fall out if you swap axles. Lego just copied it for injection molding.
First thing that popped into my head is we are getting too many DUKE DETAIN's. People are gonna use 1 and toss the rest in a box. At least give him a hat so we can make him more generic. I like the truck. I like the trailer but I would like it more if it was actually the horse trailer from the horse trailer set. I feel like this is a better design for that. (modified) We need an actual command space with features. A swivel chair and maybe some crime solving type items that would be in a real mobile police command center. Something creative, maybe a new mold (to make up for re-releasing this set every 3 years), that would make it much more interesting to me. Snake Rattler is amazing! I need him without the rest. Is the print thickness affecting their cost? Is that why some prints are thin even though they can do better? Cost? Thanks for the content Jang! Oh... Forgot to mention the moving ATV wheel axle mold. It's great! Movement in those is a great feature! Love that! I actually wish Jang would take that mold off to show it up close, but I know he doesn't disassemble during a review. Would be nice to do for new molds though.
I'm not a fan of these comical police sets, but I'm fully aware they're not aimed at me. I do adore that little tractor though, what a fantastic build for something so small. It's nice to see a lot of comments agree.

Ditch the very sub par trailer and it's just a better cheaper crook get away set. The tractor is definitely out shinning the rest of the builds in this one.

The quad's steering feature is really cool, but I think it makes the chassis way too big. If your quad is bigger than your tractor, something's gone wrong. The "command truck" doesn't look very commandeering. It looks like a mobile response unit, but you wouldn't coordinate a large-scale action from there.
I don’t like how the trucks are starting to become a little more like bike trailers rather than an actual command unit, I prefer the command trucks like the 2011 and the 2014 one
I wish some of the criminal minifigs would not have the striped top. Surely they have not all just recently escaped from jail? Without the stripes the torsos would be so much more useful.
Snake's body has very little grey stripes and none on the back, so he looks more like a " normal" minifig. But agree, the first thing a crim would do is ditch the jailhouse stripes.
I wish these sets had a little bit more of realism. I'm tottaly ok of goofy antics like egg shooter. I mean in builds - like why there is no way to enter the Mobile command? Even set from 1994 had the small ladder.
I'm genuinely confused by the rear of the cab. The rear windshield being sloped doesn't make any sense to me. Has anyone seen this on a real truck, ever?

You can thank the 5+ move lego did a couple years ago, that's why it's now like this.... I miss the good days of Lego City, where the sets actually felt new and complete. Now it's an actual joke.
It´s a good set but wouldn't buy it even at sale. Some don´t like the trailer and that´s ok. It has a weird design. Figures are just fine but nothing special. That dated strange yellow makes them now odd and generic. Even if stubborn Lego guys insist on keeping them that way, different types of the color wouldn´t hurt. There's a lot children can learn from the things displayed, they better watch out for those little details 👀
Weird that the command center lacks an entrance. Like, the walls are ok, but I prefer a clearer door. Opening walls are for us, doors are for figures.

The tractor reminds me of a red and black small tractor I had back in the 80s. This new one is like a modern, updated version of that.
They really missed the opportunity to call this set: egg-streme police truck breakout

But so many "new" LEGO part designs of the past decade were earlier produced by Mega (and often many others)...

The gap above the front fender/wheel arch just highlights the need for an inverted cheese wedge.

Yeah, if I get that one, it will either be on sale or clearance. There are definitely better sets in the 2022 Lego City line.
I'm pretty sure Snake Rattler is in reference to Snake from the Jack Stone Lego sets.
I could easily see someone making some kind of toy hauler/camper version of that trailer.

Personally the thing that looks the worst in the set are the ridiculously tiny wheels of the trailer. Plus they would get stuck everytwhere...
This is a Choice of Design because the trailer should be low enough to fit under the gate of the new Police Station.
