The sun changing the color of my locs is sooooooo true!! In my 4th year of growing my locs I dyed my hair jet black. We took a trip to the beach and the sun dyed some of my locs brown-my natural color is black. Now I have brown highlights throughout my hair and…I love it 🤎 it makes my hair so unique & wouldn’t trade my locs for the world ✨ Thanks for another dope vid girlie 🤗
YES to everything! From the linty sweaters in the Winter, to the Summer Sun and salt water colour changes. Well said. I will say you have to be ready for locs, it’s a lifestyle change, I was ready for and it’s not for everybody. (I remember sitting on a train and a stranger, someone’s daughter asking her mother if my hair was real, and the mother responding with no, it’s not. The nerve. Not realizing I can over hear them, I was so offended, but that’s what comes with healthy locs I guess. 😂)
Hey Natalie! I wish I knew that I had several very different textures of hair on my head before I got locs. The 4C hair has locd and the locs look like very small traditional locs. And I love these locs. I found out right after installation that a significant area of my head is 3C and 4A hair. After 12 months locd, the straighter stringier hair have horrible bunching... a look that I totally wasn't going for. I call these locs the rebels or delinquents in the Mane Family. These locs are clearly non conforming and they are doing their own thing and momma ain't too happy. Nevertheless, I know this is what is making the loc journey unique. NOBODY will have locs like mine. And due to the differences, I kinda have unintentional boho or goddess looking locs. And I am really okay. It is what it is. Although I do have some kinda awe and a bit of loc envy when I see your locs. So beautiful and uniform. Thanks for sharing. Its always good to see your videos show up in my notifications. Take care!
Hey love! I love that you call that bunch rebels/delinquents 🤣🤣🤣 so funny! The front of my hair is looser and I experienced that bunching but overtime it started to solidify look a bit more smooth throughout the loc (but it took years) We always have this idea about what we think our locs should look like and end up surprised right!? Yes you are so right, locs are really unique to the individual and no 2 loc lovers are the same ❤️🔥 Thank you for watching, I always look forward to your comments!
I wish i would have known what to do and what not to do. I started mine almost 3 years ago, and back then I knew nothing about them. So i would just do anything to them. And now I'm learning why that's not a good idea 😂😂 my hair is doing a lot better now that I've been watching videos like these ❤️
@@nattyann I used a lot of heavy products and stuff because my mom believed that was how you got them to stay locked 😂 I also would sleep without protecting my hair, and rarely put moisture in it. Basically, I did everything you're NOT supposed to do. Luckily, I started taking better care of my hair before it got too bad.
Oh yeah I been there! Some products get stuck and it’s so hard to wash out smh I’m glad you know what your hair needs now. It’s a learning curve for everyone 💕

Wait a minute!!! How she confidently telling the child “no it’s not.” I know it took everything in you to just ignore her 😅
