Rest in peace, Arnold's. End of an era. I remember watching this during the original ABC broadcast at grandma Nelson's house. Quite the topic of conversation at school the next day. I was in 7th grade at the time.
Most improbable was neither Potsie, Ralph or Fonzie smelled anything burning before that. (i.e. In time that they could put the fire out -with an extinguisher- or get out in time.)
@@thomaskemer8109 It's a sitcom, not a documentary. What about Married With Children? If Al Bundy was that poor, there is no way they would be living in a house like that.
Turning off the grill was what Chachi was supposed to do before he and Joannie left. He was too elated by her finally accepting his date offer to remember that when he threw his apron on the grill.
Fonzie REALLY laid into Chachi for that huge screw up. All was "forgiven" That said I didn't like the new Arnolds. The original one had a better nostalgia look.
I remember watching this episode of Happy Days and Chachi got the blame for throwing his apron on the grill. Fonzie gave him the lecture of a lifetime!!
Everything outside the door is burnt to the ground, but that room is not effected. Not even the temperature. Just a little smoke from under the door. 😂
A good try for Fonzie to try to break the wall down using his motorcycle helmet to protect his head, though the outside wall was made of concrete. Good that Richie & Lori Beth saved Fonzie, Ralph & Potsie from being burned from the fire. It would've been interesting to see Fonzie showing respect for the Milwaukee Fire Department.
Did it ever occur to some people that maybe it was one of the cooks that was using the grill that forgot to turn off the grill???? I really felt bad for Chachi that he got all of the blame for what happened with Arnold's being set on fire, what Chachi did was not done by intention, it was an accident!!!!!!
If I remember right, towards the beginning of the episode,Al specifically told Chachi to make sure he turned off the grill. That was also with the lights and locking up.
Chachi's own irresponsibility in forgetting to turn off the grill and tossing his apron on the grill while getting carried away with dating Joanie, caused the fire that burned Arnold's to the ground. Fonz railed on his cousin for his negligent actions, but Chachi atoned, after Arnold's was rebuilt and took more responsibility for what needed to be done. Cunningham's law came into effect and the Fonz contributed financially towards the restaurant's reconstruction!!!
I forgot that Ron Howard was still on the show when they revamped Arnold's. I used to think that that was part of a large shift to establish the new Ron-less Happy Days.
Fonz freakout was amazing.
Lost his cool, but it came back!
I remember seeing this episode on its original airing
@jeffreyking7033,, me, too. It was one hell of an intense episode.
Ralph: “Potsie , I’m not use to having courage.” ……Comedy gold!

Ralph's scream always cracked me up!
Ralph, you're stepping on his hand. Sorry, Fonz! The bit was hilarious!
This is so improbable, but still a great episode.

@@TorontoJediMasterjust a dumb show,but entertaining

I love it when Happy Days had some climatic drama in a comedy show.

Yeah Chaci Screwed Up Big Tyme Burnin Down Arnold’s N💩
@@gregorywilliams8555 Nobody was more pissed than Fonzie!
@@tvtimetravel yeah, Fonzie went tf IN on Chachi, but ended up forgiving him by the end

A focus group of teenagers thought the old Arnold's looked 'outdated', so Garry Marshall had it 'remodeled' this way.
"There's a FIRE OUT THERE" 😅
Only the Fonz can chill himself out in the middle of a blazing inferno.
Ron Howard was probably making mental notes about how to do Backdraft while they were filming this! 😆
Foreshadowing moment
This was his last season, so he was about to start on the path to making movies like Backdraft.
I remember watching this episode of Happy Days and Chachi got the blame for throwing his apron on the grill. Fonzie gave him the lecture of a lifetime!!
I like how the Fonz says "There is a FIRE OUT THERE!" and then he strikes a pose and repeats calmly "Indeed there is a fire out there."
Love this one
The last season Ron Howard and Don Most were on the show. 😐

TV show people, TV show!
@@MsShoosh1 Thanks for pulling me back into reality. 👍
The fire did spread into the restroom just as Ralph jumped through what was the window.
😢😢😢😢 Rest in peace Old Arnold's 😢😢😢
Lori Beth was an angel 😇 and beautiful 😍
I wish they just left Arnold's the same ,when the series was at the end 💁❤️
Important lesson .. Always have a long chain in your trunk ..
That's a good one. Richie just happened to have a long chain in the trunk of his car.
This ep really spelled the downfall of HD. It was never the same with the new Arnold's, Roger, etc.
Totally agree
The new Arnold's sucked,i stopped watching shortly after 😞

I wonder if anyone ripped the entire HD rerun on MeTV. Would be nice to get S7-11 in the best quality possible.
it would be nice if seasons 7 thru 11 were available on DVD.
@@speakers79 We can only hope.
Saw this when I was 4 or 5; the Arnold's on fire looked real weird.

After the fire, they replaced Arnold’s with the “Church Bar” set, which I hated.
Church bar? The second Arnold’s restaurant looked more like a country-western bar that I used to sing karaoke at!
I forgot that Ron Howard was still on the show when they revamped Arnold's. I used to think that that was part of a large shift to establish the new Ron-less Happy Days.
1:52 concrete.😂😂😂
The end of the original Arnold's
What's with Ralph's 70s hair
They're supposed to be in the early to mid 60s, but dressing like like the late 70s/early 80s
Coaching was thinking more on The maybe then his job.
That why Fonzie was more mad at his Cuz.
