Nope, you dont catch a falling knife as long as you’ve got good risk management. 1) Focus only in the uptrend stocks their close must be above EMA50,200. 2) Only Buy on Dip when you see the reversal candles close to the EMAs, Ex-resistance (both of these must also adding up with less amount of volume when compared with the bullish candles earlier). 3) Also considering fundamentals to least the possibility of fail Buy on Dip with the latest Quarterly net profit YoY more than 25%, ROE > 7%, Freefloat < 50% Trust me, I have done Buy on Dip for almost a decade now and bulked up my portfolio from 200k thb to 34 M thb with no leverages added. Even with Breakout strategy could be risky if you dont control the downside relating well with RR ratio (apx 3-5 rr) Not to mentioned that Buy on Dip is the best strategy when your plan is to snowball the accumulated profits because its downside risk is much lower than Breakout and you dont need the whole day after days staring on the screens (which will cost huge losses on your health later when you getting older.
