Is it true that Amanda is leaving the cast? It was announced on broadway world that Kara Linsey is coming back to play Glinda, is this true? I hope not!
Ben Collins Yes, she is at the end of her run unfortunately. Katie Rose Clark will be taking over on bway while Kara is on tour with Jackie Burns. Amanda is a great person with a heart of gold and we’re exited to see what she does next! 😊💖

Ben Collins as in how long they play the role for? No way to know exactly but it’s usually between a little more than a year or two.
Stephanie Gomes If I understand this right, a person that wants the role has a contract to sign, how many years could a person go for the part of Glinda for? I follow broadway news every day, I want to learn about the contract of wicked.
Ben Collins They do sign a contract but we can’t know for certain how long they last but it’s usually that time spam I mentioned. Some actresses have had their contracts prolonged though. The longest I’ve seen a run was about 2 years. The Glindas who run longer than that usually don’t do it all at once, they take time in between.
