My favorite quote is " Experience is the hardest kind of teacher; it gives you the test first and then the lesson ". Combining your vast knowledge base along with real world experience, presented in a professional manner, while considering all possible view-points about the subject matter results in extremely valuable information to your group! I hope that all of your followers/group realize the value of information that comes from "experience combined with book-sense". Until next time.....
I hope you are doing mentally and physically as well as possible. I stumbled across one of your videos and started watching. I was amazed at your age the knowledge that you had. I told my wife that your grandfather must have taught you a lot. When I was in my teens I came to a point of death, it was an electrical failure. They told me at the hospital I appeared to be ok. They said it could affect me later in life. Approximately a year later my back went out. I dealt with it and worked till I was 50 years old then had surgery. I will be 63 in October. My wife is writing this. I can't spell well. When you can't work, study on a project and how you're going to do it. Doing something is the best cure to me, instead of doing nothing. I hope to see you on RUclips. My father always said you can have a physical disability and still accomplish more than others if you put your mind to it. He was not one to give up till it was over. When you were in the water doing the fish trap with the knife it upset me but I realize it had a purpose for it being there. Could I get a duplicate of the knife sometime next year. Good luck.
We are actually neighbors and everything I learned was from northern preppers/ survivalist. Your knowledge might save my life so thank you for all you do!
we call that "Khorovats fire" in Armenia which in translation means "BBQ fire" ...because you 're right it does produce a large bed of coals due to the wood burning proportionally because of the construction... which is good for cooking meats on skewers if you dont have a grill that is ...Nice one man
Why not just put the tinder bundle and teepee on the top and let it all burn down a thick, tight, log cabin? Intersperse with dirt for longer lasting burn, and warm coals.
Kindof depends upon your circumstances. What humidity level, elevation, and choices of wood you have on hand... If there were a perfect fire lay, we wouldn't have all of these other options yes?
Trevor Hurd Ill be making a series this fall demonstrating some of the more useful long term fires for heat, cooking, and light. There are some cool techniques out there.

I wonder what he means by "one match fire"... Oh, great. He explained it.
Have you uploaded a video of starting a fire with the bow drill?
Not yet. Expect one come spring.
I am sure you can still buy handbook with all info you need on INPLIX. Just google it.
